For Mission or Family?
It was snowing and cold as the sun began setting, but Guinevere didn’t seem to be bothered by the weather. She pulled her cloak tighter around her as she shifted her bow. She had been on watch for some time, but she was not annoyed by it.
Visitors were coming to their village -- visitors who she was very interested in seeing. It was why she was the one here on the overlook. There were new residents in the village and neither she nor her father wanted any misunderstandings or bloodshed because they did not know the people that were coming.
And Guinevere would be very put out if any of these new people dared to try to lay hand or cause harm to members of her family. Her rage might well rival even Merlin’s in that regard.
However, hopefully her meeting them and then escorting them to her home would serve to reassure.
She was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of movement and her eyes saw forms stepping through the snow towards her. She grinned as she jumped from the cliff.
“You are letting your skills falter. cousin,” she said with some delight. “I heard you long before I saw you. Father is expecting you.”
