weeps I can’t properly do my reply posts anymore probably because my xkit is dying lmao.
I love Blue, definitely one of my fav dog brands (Especially Blue Wilderness which is what I used to feed him, maybe I’ll go back to that)
As for “science wellness” are you mixing up science diet and wellness? They’re two different brands LOL. Science diet is low tier and not very good for your dog - generally any dog food you can find at grocery stores (Purina, Science Diet, IAMS, and Pedigree). Any dog food including poultry by-product is generally not that great either, and particularly low in protein.
Wellness on the other hand is a pretty good brand, I haven’t tried it with Watson though so that’s a maybe if the price is right.
Nutro Natural choice used to be fairly good but they recently (2015) changed their formula and apparently dogs are getting sick from that @_@;; So I’ll probably pass.
You should probably suggest to your family to stay away from Purina in general. Reasons why: [x] [x] While ProPlan might be slightly better than the allerged dog killer that Purina’s Beneful line is, you should still just stay away from low quality dog food if your family can afford it. Your dogs are going to be a lot healthier and happier too.
Also when I worked at Petco a very good sign for dog foods being low quality to begin with was when I found infestations (which btw we always threw them out, we never sold them to customers and I’d always check for them daily) but Purina and IAMS were NOTORIOUS for moth infestations. I’d always find moths and larva outside the bags and often in the bags too. I never saw them on a majority of the other brands.
I lovveee Merricks so that’s definitely another contender.
