Pass the Orange
"John this is ridiculous. I won't. I refuse to join this. I wouldn't even do this when I'm bloody high, I don't see why I would do it now." Sherlock huffed and John chuckled, pulling his boyfriend close. "Because /I/ want you to do it. I want to play with you. And you want to please me on our first date?" John questioned, nuzzling into him with a cute noise that made Sherlock hesitate his refusal. "Why? This game is so stupid. There is no point behind not dropping the stupid orange. And it's not like anything bad would happen if you did. Maybe it would have more juice in one place or maybe even peel a bit but that wouldn't be the end of the world." Sherlock rolled his eyes and John pressed a kiss to his chin. "A-And..." Sherlock cleared his throat. "And we would have to be close. Very close. To people. Someone would have to hand it to you and I'd have to hand it to someone else. It can't be clean. I don't like people. Why are we even here? /I/ don't even know the birthday boy." Sherlock huffed but shut up quickly when Sherlock had a finger against his lips. "Shush. You're playing." John said and Sherlock huffed, but he knew he had lost. The game had started and he could see the orange coming closer and closer to him. He grabbed it from the person easily, annoyed, and with some teasing and touching, John took the orange from Sherlock. Not that Sherlock's face wasn't all red. But the boy who needed to take it from John wasn't very coordinated. He seemed to be a complete idiot. Brushing up against John making the angle horrible, with that stupid smile on his face, their faces close... "That's enough!" Sherlock snapped, grabbing the orange, throwing it against the wall, making it burst, orange juice going everywhere-even squirting some people in the eye with yelps. He grabbed John pulling him into his arms, and kissed him passionately in front of everyone. Their first kiss. "Mine."
For Science.
It started with a mini train set. He didn't mind it so much, Sherlock brushed it off, putting it in his room telling John that he had to do some research on children's trains, and if they worked like normal trains. John thought it was ridiculous but he left it alone. A week later another and there was legos at the door, a package for Sherlock Holmes. John signed for it, and Sherlock grabbed it rather quickly- taking it to his room with a mumble of 'it's for research'. Another week and it was toy blocks. The following a doll house. Stuffed animals. Board games. Chemistry sets for children. Bouncy balls of all sorts. They all found their way into Baker Street, and with each new toy Sherlock didn't offer any more of an explanation besides research. But one day John came home and he saw something he didn't expect. A Wii. A fucking bloody Wii. "Sherlock." John said in a smooth calm voice. "Why is there a Wii in our sitting room?" He asked, looking at him, and Sherlock flushed. He was planning on putting it away later, he hadn't expected John to be home so soon. "Research..." Sherlock said, shifting on his feet, and John wasn't going to take it this time. Not this time. This was going farther and farther. "For children or something? The first time I let it slide, and the second and third, but now... A wii? What's going on?" Sherlock shifted under the questioning, looking up at him. "Well... I guess I am just researching. For children." Sherlock mumbled, shrugging it off just a bit. "Why?" John demanded. "Because I was thinking maybe now that I'm older and we're sort of together... Maybe I'd want one?" "Oh Sherlock..."
Woah
I just woke up with like eight more followers. Where did you lovelies come from? Welcome! <3
It started with the little things. A small touch, brushing up against him, Sherlock sitting closer when he was watching something or reading something. When they were both home Sherlock being in the same room, moving closer and closer until they were touching in some way, whether it would be their legs brushing against each other, or maybe their arms. A head suddenly resting on his shoulder. But it had gotten well... worse wasn't really the word for it. But it did increase.
Bit by bit, Sherlock just didn't seem to ever want to be apart from him. Offering to even go to the store with him. It was strange, even for Sherlock. But John went with it of course. He had to admit, having Sherlock Holmes come up to you and just curl into your side, who wouldn't want that?
He would wrap his legs around him if he needed his hands, but if he didn't he would cling to him in anyway he could. One of the times he was worried his chair was going to fall because he had his legs on his shoulders and sitting on top of the chair.
The behavior just kept happening, over and over again. Sherlock clinging to John until John soothed him enough that the overwhelmed detective fell fast asleep.
He had been doing that as well- sleeping more often. But only when John was near. Something mumbled about nightmares once, but it was never mentioned again. As for the behavior, the cuddling part...
Honestly he had no idea where it came from. Sherlock just didn't want him to go, at least not go anywhere alone. Maybe it was because work kept taking him away? Or maybe it was because next month he was going to be gone, going back to the military so that he could talk to the new medical doctor recruits as a Captain.
He had no idea Sherlock was worried about him. That while he was thrilled to see him in uniform he was worried about him getting shot again. Or maybe he was more afraid he would realize that being in wars was more exciting than Baker Street....
And leave him that way.
He had no idea.
"Mistress!" John called out to their Master, and she just barely glanced over. "What is it John?" Mary asked and John flushed, not used to her actually replying to him. After all he was only a slave. He usually only got orders, it wasn't actual talking. "I-I erm... It's nearly feeding time." John reminded her quietly and Mary rolled her eyes. "I thought I told you only to talk to me when there is something important you need to tell me." John lowered his eyes, flushing, and seemed to be floundering to fix this. "Don't bother John, it's obvious you aren't going to fix this. Off to the punishment room for you." Sherlock drawled and John glared at him. "Oh shut up! at least I didn't burn Mistress's outfits with the iron just because you wanted to know how long it would take-" "That was a perfectly fine experiment and you know it!" Sherlock snapped back. "You are the one who burned Mistress's supper over and over again, enough she's had to get a cook!" "And /you/ scare the cook with putting awful things in the kitchen!" "Bastard." "Bitch." "Slut." "Virgin" "I hate you!" "I despise you!" "Behave boys." "...." "...."
