Just Unwinding | Bart & Arthur

Yet another day when he needed to escape from his new home. He felt overwhelmed with everything going on but unlike every other time he decided to hide within the castle rather than leave it. Usually when he left his advisers tended to scold him a little once he showed up once again. For once he wanted to get back at them a little. Hence why he decided to hide within the stable loft. When they tell him that he shouldn't leave the castle grounds without informing someone first, Arthur can say that he never left and end it at that.

Laying within the hay, it surprised him a little that he actually missed this. When he lived with Sir Ector he usually went to the stables to get some time to himself or to just relax as he waited for his next set of chores. Now that he was king that rarely happened. His safe haven turned into Bart's smithy but he was trying not to go there too often. His advisers would figure out where he went, if they didn't already, and he didn't want to get in Bart's way. Maybe he would turn his stables into his safe haven again. Arthur moved a little more within the hay and sighed.

King to Knight | Arthur & Bart

The young king hurried down a flight of stairs, trying to put as much distance between his advisors and himself as he could. They had finally gotten on his last nerve, a surprising feat for him, and right then he couldn't take being in their company. Between pushing him to make one decision to another, Arthur had wanted some time to think over his answers before giving them. But that didn't seem to work for the older men and continued to hound him about it until he finally snapped and yelled at them to leave him alone. It only took him a few seconds to realize what he had done and he bolted from the room.

Reaching the door the door that led to one of the back courtyards, he kept his pace up and went right through the door into the yard. Now that he was finally outside he quickly jogged around the castle to the smithy. Normally he would have gone and hid in Merlin's tower but the wizard was out on some wizardly duty or something like that. Regardless Arthur didn't feel like venturing up there without the reassurance of Merlin being there. So the next place he thought of going to was Bart's smithy.

Over the years since he took the throne he had developed a bond with the black knight. It wasn't that surprising given the fact that the knight had defended him when people began to protest about him pulling Excalibur out of the stone. It was that gesture that Arthur wanted to form some sort of friendship with Bart and thankfully he had gotten more than that. He held Bart's opinion highly as well and usually asked for it whenever he was in a difficult situation. Now, now he just wanted to escape from everything but have some company while doing so.

Entering the rear entrance to the smithy, he opened the door and shut it with a loud thud. Arthur leaned against the door, panting lightly has he tried to catch his breath. He guessed Bart would have heard him and if not then he could probably guess where the knight was and search for him once he had caught his breath.

The female warrior looked up at the blacksmith, trying to figure out if she heard him correctly over the noise of the bar. He couldn't have possibly meant that. But she hadn't known Bart to lie and she always took his world to heart. "Bù...I-I can't dance," Mulan managed to say, quickly correcting herself when she began to speak in Chinese.
