Thebluehairedboy is following you
It had been a long and boring day. The kind of day spent enjoying the rarity that was a moment of peace. A day for people-watching and wandering through the town to pass the time.
He had noticed the blue haired boy, but at first, he payed him no heed. Something seemed off about the child, and the combination of "off" and "blue-haired" did strike him as suspicious, if only for the reason that it reminded him of Legato... but the boy didn't actually strike him as harmful. On the contrary, there was something about him that was oddly calming... his presence put him in a mood that was best described as "comfortably nostalgic", though he couldn't explain why.
He let the boy follow him for a few minutes before giving into his curiosity and taking a good look at him. He wore a sleek uniform and a red armband... not an outfit he was familiar with. Aside from the hair, nothing about the boy in front of him struck him as familiar. So why was his presence so oddly relaxing? ...Why was it so ethereal, for that matter?
"Who are you...?"
Disbelief and Curiosity
It had taken him the better part of a couple days just trying to find where that island was in regards to Shinjuku, the fact he absolutely detested human language computers made the job even more difficult.
In the end, he'd had to begrudgingly admit to it and his handicap to Salamon just so she would understand that he needed to find that location. And after an hour of her trying to keep from laughing too hard, Beelzemon finally had the way there that he'd been seeking.
Why was he going to that island, anyway?
Even if he'd made it there, the disguised Digimon wasn't even sure how to find one human he'd only met once in a group of many. And yet Kitaro's knowledge intrigued him as much as he didn't believe in the concept of being able to tell one's future or the future of another. No matter how similar that "story" seemed to what was happening with Gallantmon, Beelzemon wasn't so easily persuaded on that subject.
And yet, that odd teenager did also provide intelligent conversation- some of the most intelligent he'd had in a while outside of his own particular group of family and friends. And that, combined with how well he'd handled himself in the Digital World, gave Beelzemon more than enough interest to seek him out again. Now if only he knew how to find the kid.
Plus, he'd been promised food and one just doesn't turn such a thing down.
And, he had to admit, the island was a nice place.
Afterthought
“… Think of it as a journey.”
Beelzemon mulled over those words as he made his way home. No, there wasn’t any way that something like that could tell about someone’s actual life journey.
They were just weird little cards and he was an adept storyteller, that was it.
No matter how impressed Beelzemon found himself with the strange teenager, he wasn’t going to fall for that particular little trick. Though the little story he told was definitely an impressive one, and he did make a good narrator.
And for an Airhead, he was also remarkably intelligent. Moreso than most of the other teenagers he’d met. And he’d had a unique perspective about the world that he’d found to be interesting as well.
However, the part about the Arcana troubled him, gnawing at the back of his conscience. For all he rebuked the knowledge about them, it gave him an uneasy feeling.
Especially when considering that his brother seemed to fit the ‘story’ as dictated by the weird student, which made him all the more uneasy.
No, he couldn’t let himself think about that. Just because some things were similar didn’t mean that anyone’s life- let alone those he cared about- were going to experience things like that. While Beelzemon believed in a lot of things, one of the things he knew couldn’t exist was fortune telling.
How stupid was that, anyway?
”The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed.”
Except people’s lives. Particularly his own and those close to him, that much he was sure about.
“’Tatsumi Port Island’, huh?” Beelzemon muttered to himself as he crossed the great field, to the shed Behemoth stayed in at Ophanimon’s castle. Well, then. It looked like he definitely had a reason to go there after all.
“Fortune tellin’. Wha’ a load a’ bullshit.”

「ooc; Take care.」
((Suddenly, an almost heart attack upon seeing a name I haven't had the blessing to see in a while.
Yo, Kitaro. It's nice seeing you on the dash again. I hope all is well on your end and Lyco's, and thank you for the well-wishes.))
thebluehairedboy started following you (a long time ago)
Akihiko tilted his head towards the sky, a strange feeling taking root in his chest as he did so. Just then, he sensed the presence of Minato, however strange that might be.
He hung his head and swallowed, trying to shake off the feeling that was gnawing at his heart. No matter how much he wished it, or any of his former dormmates did, it was impossible for him to be walking this earth at that very moment. That was impossible, considering the fate of the blue-haired boy.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he wiped off the tears that formed on the corners of his eyes. "Minato, hang on in there." He raised his head to the sky once more. "We promised to do our best for you, so that day may come." Smiling serenely, he continued, "That day when you can finally rest."
Reminiscence
[Roy sighed as he sat down on the bench he once shared with Akinari at Naganaki Shrine. He looked up at the sky, his expression blank.]
Almost that time of year... wonder how they're doing...
[Roy sighed again, closing his eyes and letting his mind wander through his memories of his friends in SEES.]
