Chapter #25 of #thePurpleHeart is up @linewebtoon now, and I was going to post the usual insert from the comic, but today I chose to post some of the first comments from this chapter. I wanted to thank everyone who stuck by our piece of the #NewBrooklynUniverse, even with the big hiatuses. Reading about people holding back tears on the last chapters is both emotional and gratifying, knowing the story Vito, Dean and I told has touched an audience to that extent. There were a lot of emotions, some tears, a lot of sweat, and the occasional drop of blood involved in the making of this comic, so I'm right there with you. Now, are you ready for the last chapter? As of last night, work on #thePurpleHeart comics is done. All 130 pages of it. It was a long ride, with a few bumps, a lot of lessons, but with some of my best work to date. I'll probably write a longer post on my blog to wrap the experience up, but I just wanted to quickly thank a few people. @incogvito and @deanhaspiel_art for bringing me into this universe and having the confidence I could pull off this giant task. @tomakel1 and the @linewebtoon team for the guidance and the immense patience. Friend, neighbour and collaborator @patriciafurtado.sketchbook for the crucial help on color separations, #theBrooklynitecomix crew for their inspiring work, and my family for backing me up when the strain of production got a bit heavy on my shoulders. The Purple Heart is back with the last chapters on Line, so be sure to check out the finale, it's going to hit you hard. Then, go back and reread the three interconnected titles to prepare for the upcoming WarCry, coming later this year, by Dean. I'll be back in a few days with news about what's coming next for me.
