Au milieu de la nuit je me demande ce qu'est en train de faire le cerisier à cet instant précis
*** Juste avant de traverser l’hiver le cerisier nous offre l’éclat de son feuillage orangé
Réserve de lumière pour la nuit qui viendra
*** Quand le ciel n’est pas à la hauteur c’est le cerisier qui éclaire le jardin
*** Ce matin le ciel est couleur ventre de tourterelle Le cerisier tient bon encore
Quelques poignées de feuilles accrochées aux branches basses
*** Pas de vent le ciel est immobile
Des mouettes passent langoureuses
Le cerisier compte ses feuilles sur les doigts de quelques mains
*** Depuis le temps il sait bien que le vent l'emportera Et pourtant il continue à se battre feuille à feuille *** Je regarde par la fenêtre je devine sa silhouette ses branches tendues ses branches si nues plus noires que la nuit
*** Les oies les bernaches les canards les vanneaux tous les oiseaux du voyage quittent le ciel au-dessus du jardin
Le cerisier lui reste là
comme un con
*** Sous l’écorce grise le cerisier inventera le printemps
jour après jour
*** Il est huit heures et vingt-sept minutes deux pies viennent de se poser dans ses branches hautes
le cerisier ne dit pas un mot
*** Hiver à peine entamé
et déjà quelques oiseaux poussent aux branches du cerisier
*** Le vent le vent le vent Quelques poignées d’étourneaux maintiennent le cerisier au sol
Un couple de pinsons les rejoint
Même léger le renfort est bienvenu
