Of all the great recent bunch of books that have arrived, I've been really keen on these two. So happy they're here now. The Complete Crepax is the first book published in a series of ten total books over the next few years by #Fantagraphics which collects Italian artist Guido Crepax's amazing black & white art, which focuses on his Dracula, Frankenstein, and other Horror stories. You can definitely see Crepax has had an influence on many of our western illustrators and artists. It's beautiful, provocative, and has been translated into English for the first time! The much smaller book is the highly-anticipated 'Mary Wept Over The Feet Of Jesus', from Canadian cartoonist Chester Brown by #DrawnAndQuarterly. This is Chester's follow up book to 'Paying For It', but while being completely different texts, I suspect this will be just as provoking. I may personally miss a lot of subtext reading this, as I haven't read the Bible, but I still look forward to it immensely.
