>If you deny any struggles that he has and you expect him to care about women's struggles, you're pretty much guaranteeing that he will see feminism as women getting special treatment.
Mainstream feminism regularly claims that any society run by men will inevitably privilege men and oppress women.
I don't think the issue here is the precise execution of feminism.
I think the rot goes down to the core.
>If you rule with an iron fist and make him afraid of you, you're pretty much guaranteeing that he won't respect anyone who can't make him afraid of them, and the vast majority of women who he disrespects are not going to be able to make him afraid.
And why should their first response be "make him afraid"? How is that remotely a good response to anything besides “actively being a threat”?
People react in a lot of different ways to abuse. It's also possible he latches on to an abusive woman because she reminds him of his mom,
or he latches on to a woman who is not abusive, but still not a good fit for him, just because she isn't abusive.
Maybe he’s gay, but he still has harmful friendships with women. Maybe his issues are directed at the men he dates.
Also, it’s...interesting how you frame this bit in utility terms. How a man can be useful or harmful to feminism (and women), not because, y’know, child abuse is bad.
And if that’s the language you have to use to persuade feminists, what does that say about them?
>If you want him to question society's harmful attitudes against women, , you also have to raise him to question society's harmful attitudes that benefit you. This includes society's harmful attitudes against children.
News flash: many of feminism's core concerns are ALREADY areas where society treats women better than men. College admissions and grades, for one. Erasure of rape and abuse victims, for another.
Heck, feminism contributes heavily to that last one by calling rape "gendered (M on F) violence" and assuming it's always a sexist motive.
Mainstream feminism is very bad at admitting there are any areas of society which benefit women, aside from those feminism wants to take all the credit for, like abuse shelters.
This from the folks who only know about the CEO as "that guy who ran a company that does stuff I hate." and don't care about anything else about him.
Almost as if the real issue how they're complicating the dehumanizing stereotyping.
>And how many children are without a parent because of denied medical care, homelessness, police brutality, etc.
Objection, your honor. Relevance of the last two to an insurance company?
This isn't even Whataboutism. This is just throwing in random issues to show you're a goodthinker.
Also, you're still defending a terrorist, and not even contesting the "murderer" part. So trying to pretend you have a moral high ground is pretty rich.
No pun intended.
EDIT:
I love how TCW had no actual rebuttal or response, just "no, your side is worse!"
Also, someone said Tennessee had done this, and it's actually for sleeping in public places. And, um;
It happened this year.
Under the Biden-Harris administration.
Heck, the actual bill was introduced in 2021, so you can't even say it started under Trump.
Then again, TCW seems to be the sort of person who thinks homeless people should be given infinite leeway and permission, because they're Victims™.
Even when they use limited resources meant for everyone.
Time for yet another episode of “theconcealedweapon makes a post about a strawman and is completely wrong”. I could’ve responded on the actual post, but by the time I realized TCW wasn’t the block-happy type of SJW, I had already finished half this post.
Yes, conservatives totally went out of their way to assault and murder the kneelers, and the problem people have is really the act of kneeling, not the context and sentiment behind it.
And it’s not like any of the people kneeling are cishet white men, right?
More accurately, they defend business’ right to discriminate against anyone, for any reason. They also claim the left only goes after white, Christian businesses for things like this, and sometimes the discriminated-against people go far, far out of their way to find people who discriminate against them.
Also, there are plenty of conservatives who straight up oppose spanking children.
Why would those “privileged” people be offended if it wasn’t personal? If they weren’t being held responsible for the actions of other privileged people, which, y’know, is called prejudice? How many of those ‘minorities’ aren’t talking about their own experiences, but trying to appropriate the problems of other people?
Asians are privileged by basically any metric you can name. You including them as oppressor or oppressed?
Oh, no, wait, you conflate “marginalized” with “minority”.
Also, don’t social justice folks regularly say everyone should be careful with how they phrase things to avoid offending minorities? And isn’t “don’t alienate the people you’re trying to convince” literally one of the basics of persuasion, regardless of context? Yet folks like you seem to think only “marginalized people” are told to abide by it.
Theconcealedweapon, are you aware that two NYPD officers were murdered by a man angry over the deaths of Eric Garner and Mike Brown? A hispanic man and a Chinese-American man. How about the cops in Dallas? How about Korryn Gaines’ paranoia? You gonna hold BlackLivesMatter responsible for that?
Do you have any evidence of a link between rape jokes and harm to “marginalized people”? Do you realize the most acceptable rape jokes are against men, not women? How about mocking Garner’s last words? How does that lead to assault?
Also, you assume the right wants to >support free-speech as selectively as you do<. I have repeatedly seen conservatives (and many, many liberals) claim everyone should have the same right to free speech, no matter what their political beliefs are, including people who disagree with them.
Last time I checked, Nazis and white supremacists were marginalized people. Because basically everyone hates them, for obvious reasons. Most estimates say there’s less of the racist numbskulls than transgender people.
And as many people have pointed out time and time again, speech that’s popular and acceptable doesn’t need to be defended.
I the president

Letting ChatGPT rewrite the US constitution for a dictatorship.
Dictatorship Constitution of the United States
Preamble I, the President of the United States, hereby establish this Constitution to consolidate authority, ensure national stability, and govern with absolute power for the benefit of the nation. All authority, executive, legislative, and judicial, shall be vested in the office of the President, who will act for the prosperity and strength of the nation. The nation’s laws will be dictated by the President, and the will of the President shall be supreme.
Article I: The President’s Absolute Authority Section 1: I, the President, am the ultimate authority in all matters of governance. My power cannot be challenged, revoked, or limited by any other institution or individual, including any former or existing branches of government. Section 2: The President has the exclusive right to make and enforce laws. All legislative powers, whether originating in the legislative bodies or elsewhere, shall be decided at my sole discretion. Section 3: I shall appoint all judges, officials, and ministers, who will serve at my pleasure and will be dismissed at my discretion.
Article II: The Legislature Section 1: The legislative body shall exist at my discretion. I may summon, dissolve, or replace the legislature at any time as I deem necessary for the nation’s welfare. Section 2: Any laws or decrees issued by the legislature will be effective only if I approve them, and I retain the right to unilaterally veto any and all laws passed.
Article III: The Judiciary Section 1: The judicial system shall function under my direct oversight. All judges will be appointed by me, and their authority is solely derived from my command. Section 2: The judiciary exists to enforce my will, interpret laws as I decree, and maintain order in the manner I specify. Any challenge to my decrees shall be null and void. Section 3: The judiciary shall have no power to overturn my actions or decisions.
Article IV: Military and Defense Section 1: I shall be the Commander-in-Chief of all armed forces, with the authority to mobilize, direct, and utilize military resources as I see fit. Section 2: I possess the sole authority to declare war or peace and to make all decisions regarding national defense. No military action may be taken without my explicit command.
Article V: The People Section 1: The people shall exist to serve the nation’s needs as defined by me. All individual freedoms, rights, and privileges will be granted only at my discretion. Section 2: Public demonstrations, petitions, and protests shall be regulated by my decree. I reserve the right to suppress any actions that challenge my authority or threaten national unity. Section 3: The people shall be subject to all decisions made in the interest of the nation, as determined by my leadership.
Article VI: Amendments Section 1: This Constitution may be amended or modified by me at any time in response to changing circumstances or my evolving judgment. Section 2: The people, the legislature, and any other body or institution shall have no power to amend or alter this Constitution without my express consent.
Article VII: The Transition of Power Section 1: In the event of my death, incapacitation, or inability to lead, I shall appoint a successor to continue my reign, ensuring the continuation of my policies and authority. Section 2: No other authority or individual shall have the power to designate a successor or change the leadership of the nation.
This reimagined Constitution centralizes power entirely within the President, abolishing checks and balances while granting the President total control over every branch of government and the people’s lives.
