@theconstableodo liked your post “So, like this for a starter in Ziva's DS9 verse.”
“Does this happen frequently?” Frustration wrinkled her brow as she picked through the pile of stolen goods to find the necklace she had been gifted two jobs ago. It just meant she probably wouldn’t be around Quark’s bar as much as she had before. It was too easy to lose focus. A sigh of relief pulled from her as she picked up the familiar purple-silver chain, thumbing over the clear crystal charm. “Thank you, sir.”
@theconstableodo, continued from here:
“Ah,” came a voice from the doorway, “I had been told I might find you here.” The Constable moved forward into the room, his hands behind his back. “I heard that it was the day of your birth.” Odo paused, then shook his head, “actually, I knew it already. I read your file. Gifts are … difficult … when you don’t know exactly what material possessions the person in question wants. So, I,” he cleared his throat and moved his arms, presenting a cake to her, “attempted to make you this.”
Odo looked as though he was under a great deal of pain at presenting the travesty to her. “I don’t think I succeeded.”
He had been told he may find her here? Fascinating. It meant others knew she would be here, and he had asked. For a moment, Aella presumed she might be in some sort of trouble -- sat up straighter, let her eyes move away from her drink and food. But then he mentioning that it was the day of her birth and... presenting...
...
. . .
. . . Something.
“Ah.” She moved the food she had in front of her so he could set it down. “What is it that humans say? It is the consideration that counts?” If not, that was what it should be. It was an alliteration.
“You... made me something.” It appeared that was where her mind was. “I... am not sure I understand why, sir.”
“- telling you, it’s not a weapon, it’s a tool! Well, it’s a weapon too, but it’s mostly a tool!”
Good morning, constable! Today, you get an incredibly incensed Andorian ensign being escorted into your office by two of your deputies. With all the presentation of proud hunting dogs, the deputies place an odd hand blade and a couple of bottles of some blue liquid on Odo’s desk.
“Constable, we caught him on a random search of passengers from the last transport. Looks like Romulan ale and a... Sword?”
“It’s an ushaan-tor! It’s a family heirloom,” the ensign snapped back, “and it’s Andorian ale, you miserable pink-ski-” He cut himself off and stood at attention. “Sir, I was transferred here for my first assignment. If this is some sort of New Guy thing, I would remind everyone that hazing is strictly against Starfleet regulations, sir.”
Just another day in the office, eh @theconstableodo?

“ There was a small BREAK-IN last night in the science lab I’ve been assigned while on-board. I was told to speak with you about this? ”

She was hardly in any condition to be having visitors, a fact the doctor had reminded her numerous times, but Jadzia had still insisted upon hearing Odo had returned to the station that she speak with him. He found her in a dimly lit private room in the station’s infirmary, a large screen by her biobed displaying her life signs. Still weak. And still a little illegible. While Dax had never in all its lifetimes been a doctor, she knew enough to recognize that her readings were unlike anything they should be.
Maybe it was the after effects of whatever energy had invaded her when Dukat had attacked her in the Bajoran shrine. Maybe it was the changeling sample that had worked its way into her system once the vile Odo had given her broke open as she’d laid dying on the floor. Maybe it had to do with her Trill physiology. Maybe it was her proximity to the strange orb from the wormhole aliens. Or maybe it was some strange & wonderful combination of them all. ( ...Maybe the Prophets really had blessed her. )
When Jadzia heard soft footfalls, she opened her eyes and looked to the door. Slowly, a weary smile spread across her face and she lifted up her hand, reaching out, and in a tired, strained voice with all the strength she could manage she whispered,
“ Odo . . . ”

“ODO------ Have the security subroutines in Crew Quarters, Section Three of the Habitat Ring been CHANGED, recently? ...Are your quarters in that section? I had no idea. It’s a complete coincidence.”
