Olivia jerked her head around, eyes set and mouth open to justify herself, It’s only a distraction!
Then, to her shock, Hamish grabbed a canister himself, and she stood, stunned, open-mouthed for a moment. Even more stunning was the strange excitement for chaos in him.
Her thoughts flickered back to the jail cell, to the bloody corpse torn apart on the floor. Violence like that was a mark of the chaotic, of the horrible parts so integral to humanity, and yet, strangely hidden from society.
He suddenly appeared a much more interesting puzzle than he had before.
“Not like that. It’ll take too long to smash and soak all the cars. Just,” she kicked over a canister of gasoline onto the floor. “And we run.”
Her four companions, Hamish, Williams, Emma, the lady with the long and slender hands, were safely crammed into Emma’s car. A match flew from pink-fingernailed hands. A massive pool of gasoline went up in flame as the owner of those pink fingernails ducked into a cop car as it lurched away and sped out the exit. Olivia rattled out directions as sirens began to scream in the distance behind them. The fire would slow them down, but it wouldn't stop them. Plus, they'd almost certainly be seen. So her directions wound through the backalleys and narrow streets that littered Dunwall, even in these richer districts. Finally, she directed the car around a sharp corner and down into a dark garage. Two doors slid open in front of them when Olivia typed something into her phone, and slid shut again once they passed through.
It was here that things got strange. Two cameras swiveled to focus on their car. Olivia paled slightly, and shoved to the doors, scrambling out just as two heavy drones came whirring loudly into the garage. "They're with me, they're with me!" she yelled at the drones as they focused on the car. "They're not cops! They're with me and I'm not a hostage!"
The drones halted and hovered in place, then retreated to hovering a safe distance away. Olivia relaxed and waved to Williams and Hamish. "It's safe."
