Bloodstream was also the most ~versatile song on the album when it comes to other older demographics because my uncle doesn't like ed sheerans music (he's in his sixties so he grew up on outdated music) but I showed him bloodstream and he added it to his Spotify playlist! That's the only ed song he likes though :) so it's my proof that it's the best!
Hi! Sorry for replying with a couple of days of delay, BUT YES, absolutely true! Bloodstream has a sound and a general vibe that was able to enthral an audience that usually doesn’t engage with Ed. More mature and of very different tastes! My own father adores Bloodstream, it’s still nowadays his favourite of Ed’s songs (I suspect Shape of You might be attempting to steal the crown there!). The live performance also adds a lot to the charm of the song, in my opinion. He really shows how good and intense and capivating he can be, while he plays Bloodstream; he loses himself in it and you lose himself in him and by the end of it you’re like, ugh, where have we all gone for the past 5 minutes?! :)
