Giorno Novo: Firenze ⚜️I can say that I can win it all... I will make my world stand tall//Renaissance⚜️ . . . Today was free museum day! Both my roommates and I went to the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Palazzo Pitti. Both were excellent and the Boboli Gardens were immense, if barren in the cold. More pictures to come as the weather warms up. I got to see the David again which was quite the treat, and after going through some further art education since I’d seen it 6 years prior, I definitely had more of an appreciation. There were also some amazing paintings that I’m already inspired by in terms of my Senior Collection for next year. Granted there is inspiration down every street in this magnificent city. At the Galleria I learned about the luxury taxes on expensive silks, velvets and brocades, which also is a concept I’m interested in exploring my work- accessiblity to luxury/how one defines luxury, etc. Tomorrow marks the first day of classes!
