Chara took a step back at the sight of Sans, obviously frightened by the skeleton’s words– or maybe it was just his presence here in general. “C-Can’t we just… talk this out…?”

The feeling of their soul being pressed down was all the answer they needed, and they clutched at their chest vainly, as if they could release themselves from Sans’ grip. They felt like they were about to scream, yet no sound escaped their throat as they were thrown into the wall, pain exploding through their back and head before they dropped to the ground, once again under the control of normal gravity.

Shaking, Chara tried to pull away from Sans to put some space between the two of them, as if it would really help them in the long run. “You w-wouldn’t hurt a defenseless kid, would you?” …the argument sounded like bs, even to them.

       Sans let out a bark of laughter. He leaned down to look the crumpled child in the eyes. There seemed to be actual fear glistening in them. How interesting.

      Once again he took hold of their soul, this time just holding them above the ground, enough so that, if they dropped them it would hurt. He sighed and rolled his eyes, or well, the lights in his eye sockets that acted like pupils. He blinked and then those pupils were gone. Chara went flying hard down into the ground.

Frisk walked up behind the two adults, reaching up to tug on Asriel's arm to grab their attention. With a smile on their face, the child offered a couple small candies for the two of them.

[ * Asriel tipped his head in confusion and gave Frisk a slightly bewildered look. After all, a smaller him was one thing, but a smaller Frisk was another. ]

[ * You shrugged and knelt to take the candy from your smaller self, thanked them, then smiled and offered a chocolate bar in return. ]
