A lot has happened in 2018 for TDW. Not only did I begin to publish chapters of “The Midnight Thief” onto my Wattpad, but also major progress on TDW as a whole series. I would have never imagined coming this far as a writer.
In the beginning, I was just a kid wanting to fix up a cringy-ass fanfic into something much better. I honestly didn’t really care if people read it or not, I just wanted to have a story that I’d be proud of later in life. TDW was just, in a way, a getaway from my life that let me be as creative as I wanted. As long as I was happy with TDW, then that was all that mattered.
Now, I’m older and have so many plans for TDW as a series. TDW has grown so complex and vast that sometimes I wonder how I managed to come up with this universe as a whole. As of right now (12/30/18), TMT has over 200+ reads on Wattpad. TMT has 32 chapters planned, with 1/4 chapters already done and published. A second book is already being planned and outlined, along with a spin-off series (which I’ll talk about in the future *wink, wink*).
I’m grateful for all that has happened this year, even if 2018 was shit as a whole. I’m grateful for all the people that took time out of their lives and decided to read TMT, even if they didn’t leave a comment or voted on the chapter. I’m grateful for those that took a chance and gave TMT their time. I’m grateful for my friends and all the people I’ve told TDW about and their interest in something I’ve put all of my love and passion into.
I’m grateful for @sockbootoo for not only making some incredible art for this series, but also for sticking with me since the very beginning. Had it not been for TDW, I would’ve never met such an amazing, beautiful, and crazily talented person as Cara. Thank you so much for being my friend, Cara!
I’m grateful for @onionsandvoid for being one of my best friends and showing so much genuine love for TDW. Not only does she let me babble my head off about TDW whenever we hang out together, but she’s helped me as a writer. I couldn’t ask for a better friend. I love you to the moon and back, Ruby!
Finally, I’m just grateful for my writing and how far I’ve come. I’m grateful for all the support I’ve gotten and the hardships I had to brave through. TDW just wouldn’t be what it is today without not only me, but also the people that care and look out for me.
Thank you, 2018. You may have sucked ass, but you made it possible for TDW to grow. Here’s to 2019 and all the of the things it will bring for not only me and you, but also for TDW!
