“How did you get this?”
Konan curiously looked over to where Azusa was touching. It was her calf, did she recently hurt herself? No it was just an old scar. “Oh.” She’s not at all bothered by Asuza-sans inquiry. “I slipped down a rocky wall. Yahiko, Nagato, Chibi, and I were trying to get to another faction in Amegakure. It had just began to rain, and the rocks were slippery.”
"It's not your fault."
“It is.”
Her voice is quiet, cracking as it tried to articulate the two simple words. Konan had just finished crying, and she was exhausted. She was facing the wall in Azusa’s guest bed, avoiding any sort of eye contact with anyone.
“I was careless..I got captured...If I hadn’t been so foolish..Yahiko would still be here...”

57. My muse steals from yours and gets caught
He knows Azusa is usually out at this time. He can get what he needs and then get out without issue. It can’t be helped, these items are necessary and he can’t explain to her why he is taking these things. Instead, he has cash to leave for her in a drawer. He might be stealing, but he wasn’t a monster. Clinics were expensive and usually had tight budgets.
Flucloxacillin, sterile gauze pads, suture thread...the jingling of the bell as the door to the clinic opened. Had he tripped something? He’d never officially searched for potential traps beyond his usual state of vigilance. It was a doctor’s office, though the rumor had it she treated some shady characters up here.
As far as he knows, there is only one door in and out of here. Probably because it was cheap, but it had the benefit of being a good security measure. He can hear footsteps approaching the back room. Does she sense something is off?
He could climb up the wall using chakra and crab walk across the ceiling, but that would mean leaving behind the supplies he needs and this endeavor is somewhat time sensitive (as medical things often were). His best chance is to hold his ground as she enters the room.
When Azusa inevitably asks what he is doing breaking into her clinic his response to her is “I would rather not talk about it, if you don’t mind. Can I just pay for these things and leave?”
