Hi! Can I ask for a general reading, please? You can refer to me as Jay! tysm 🤭
Hi, sorry about the delay! I’m currently dealing with a gross case of the flu and have basically been sleeping none stop for the past few days.
So your first three cards are the 10 of Wands, Death and The Hermit.
At first glance, this looks quite intimidating, but it’s not necessarily the case.
Death can mean change and renewal; the Hermit is about self reflection and deep thought. The 10 of wands can, among other things, mean betrayal or a loss.
I think that you’ll go into 2020 with a great deal of introspection and self reflection as a result of events in 2019. Something happened this year that will leave long lasting scars and I get the feeling 2020 represents a fresh start for you both emotionally and otherwise.
Your next cards are:
4 of cups, 3 of Swords and 4 of Wands
Following on from the above, your journey won’t necessarily be easy. You might open up new scars on the way to closing up the old ones. You might question a times if it’s worth the effort. Deep down, though, I think that you’ll understand that it’s necessary and put in the work, since the 4 of Wands implies that it will pay off in a big way, bringing a wave of contentment and harmony to you.
The last few cards are incredibly interesting! I’m getting a very strong female energy, as well as a focus on the inner child. The Empress is about femininity, nature, nurturing etc and the 6 of cups (the last card) has a lot of ties to childhood.
Full disclosure, the second card along is a bonus card I received when I bought the deck, as it’s the centennial edition. It’s not a tarot card in the traditional sense, but I’ve kept it for readings as it completes the deck. In this instance, it shows a grandmother and children, which only adds to the energy of the other cards in this set. I think that an older woman from your past, perhaps related to you though not necessarily, is going to have some important lessons for you that will be crucial to your journey in the new year.
Also important to note is the presence of the 8 of pentacles, a card that represents mastery of a craft and achieving a goal. The 6 of cups, which is the last card, also represents joy. All in all, i think that 2020 will be tough, but you will learn from it and emerge stronger and more enlightened than in 2019.
Your charm reading was also very interesting. There are a lot of themes of tying up loose ends (the button and the bow), as well as two feathers, which lead me to think of freedom. The glasses lead me to think of seeing things with fresh eyes, as well as the skull, which ties in nicely to the death card and the new start that will happen next year. The one that stands out the most to me, though, is the Remember Me one, which leads me back to the hints at revisiting the past. Perhaps the older woman in the final few cards is someone you knew as a kid. Maybe there’s a lesson in your past that’s incredibly important to the present.
Thank you again for your patience! This has been a very interesting reading! Good luck for 2020!
