starts off strong, but every tv show needs its ratings, and she's an easy villain. people start to criticise her ambition, and she looks more greedy than desperate. a hate train eventually starts, which she takes to heart. stressed and tired, she ends up snapping at a fan-favourite contestant during a lapse of judgment, and ruh-roh!
gets kicked off, unsurprisingly. she sticks around only for the final episode, as contractually obligated, but after that, it's back to the land of moose... meese... for her. doesn't want to talk about it, but...

somewhat of a standard, subpar childhood tbh. born out of an affair btwn her mother and her father's (?) best friend in l.a. and it's something that sticks with her constantly: a reminder that she really wasn't supposed to happen. her father draws back significantly after, who ends up divorcing her mother afterwards because it's. a lot!!! she moves on quickly, hopping between boyfriends and husbands and affairs in between.
aecha's raised a lot by her aunts and an uncle, who try to minimize the effects of instability to no avail. if she's here, she knows she will end up there in a matter of weeks. aecha gets used to change really fast - she doesn't like it; but she gets used to it. it's easier to get used to it as opposed to fight it and resist it.
ends up officially moving in with her fifth stepfather; moving in with the dude on his tangerine farm in jeju. it's the closest thing to stability aecha has ever known honestly, and her favorite memories are there. her mom ends up moving and disappearing out of her life not too long after, whisking away to another country with another potential husband. unbeknownst to aecha, her mother finally settled down with this one and had children too.
ends up joining a singing club at school purely on a dare (pls don't tell her she can't do something because she will purely in spite of it) and ends up liking it, alot! becomes close with the teacher running the club and eventually is scouted by culture creative staff, who was a former alumni and friend of said teacher.

aecha is considerably known for her ice princess demeanor. very stoic, sharp, in general icy persona. (think irene, krystal, etc) at the start of her career, she became pretty obsessed with what ppl thought of her and tried super hard to curate her music style to hit that appeal (#mommyissues), which is why her first album sounds so different from everything released afterwards.
learned to stop overexplaining and forcing other people to know her, so she gave up, which is why the bitchy persona stuck. she also stopped trying to justify herself to others and well, that's what the public was left with. the type to let others run and believe what they want - wont go out of her way to correct it. is very much this emoji 😐 on the outside
inwards however!!!! aecha is soft like butter. it's rare to see honestly, she really keeps to herself as much since she's a public figure and yadda yadda, but she's so soft hearted it's a little sad. sometimes her eyes can give away what her face will not, and you can see her almost beg with them. she loves deeply and strongly, and values platonic friendship over romantic or familial ones. she's very supportive of her friends and goes out of her way (sending flowers, cafe carts, reposting on her socials, etc) to make sure its known.

HISTORY :
while his legal name is SEUNG JAEYEON, he is currently known as KIM YEJUN to the public and prefers this name in private as well. ( i'll be referring to him as yejun from now on! )
born january 20, 1999 as the oldest seung child.
grew up in the spotlight thanks to his parents and took well to it since he didn't really know any better. wasn't camera - shy at all and was the perfect oldest son for his parents.
at age 11, yejun wanted to start acting lessons ( after dabbling in many other creative fields that he still is fond of as an adult ). was put through the best acting academies thanks to his parents and, at this point, was milking it for all that it was worth.
really relished in being the center of attention and made sure to be the best wherever he was so that he could stand out.
unfortunately, this led to a series of bad decisions as a teen — he ended up falling in with the wrong crowd as he was entering high school.
a group of idol trainees, instagram influencers, rich kids, and wannabes — it was honestly the perfect recipe for disaster — and it struck hard when an exposé was released detailing underage drinking, smoking, and other acts that the group would partake in.
miraculously, ( and probably due in some part to his parents pulling strings ) yejun wasn't identified in the reports — rather, two public trainees took most of the damage while he and the others were able to finish high school quietly.
this was the start of the end of yejun's relationship with his father — to appease him, yejun honored his wish for him to essentially f*ck off and go to the military as soon as he graduated so that he would come home a " reformed man ".
after serving ( and taking some time to grow his hair back ), yejun took his skillset from before everything went down and tried to make use of it — again, he was blessed to be signed on with adagio in 2020.
after several minor roles / cameos, he got a lead role in the webseries " blue birthday " in 2021. he also started his modeling career.
most recently, he was honored a best new actor award for his performance as yeon sieun, the main character of the drama, " weak hero class 1 " and has started to gain a lot of fans and attention over the last year for the role + his modeling in particular.

yejun is honestly one of those rich kids who never had anything to worry about, but now finds that they don't really know anything about life and it's hitting as a 24 - year - old trying to navigate being a functioning adult in a ~ society ~.
has been trying to get where he is on his own ( meaning without his parents helping or making use of the seung legacy ), but the last year has shown a disproportionate decline of his mental health while his popularity rose.

her mom was an always busy financial analyst who seemed to never not be on the phone talking business, while her father was the most respected divorce attorney in south korea due to his discretion when dealing with high profile cases.
100000% mostly raised by her nannies. her parents were overly serious and not very affectionate. they loved jinseon, but they definitely didn't express that in the ways such a sensitive child needed them to. sort of left her with a lack of self love that she overcompensates with kindness to others.
as her parents wanted her to fall into a high paying career, jinseon was one of those overly scheduled kids who was just shuffled from lesson to lesson to lesson. even her meals were listed in a planner. she learned to love and rely heavily on routine even as a child.
one of those lessons happened to be ballet through which she discovered her love of performing and knack for tightly controlled yet elegant movements. her instructor noted her agility and recommended her for a beginner's figure skating program.
fell head over heels for the feeling of being on the ice...it was the first of her lessons that she really connected with in a major way.
got rly good rly fast and made her coaches take notice. she had tremendous self-discipline and wouldn't miss a practice for anything. TRUE ICE PRINCESS THINGZ! the things she mostly struggled with were anxiety and her own confidence, but she found it easier to fake it than give up.
it wasn't long until she was competing in respected events around the country and eventually, the world!
the way her coaches invested in her allowed her to go far, even though they could be extremely harsh and the practices equally grueling. she did her best to channel everything into motivation and become the best at what she did.
her first championship routine was preceded by her first of many anxiety attacks, but quitting wasn't an option. not with sponsors and coaches and parents all bearing down on her, demanding perfection.
she soldiered on and managed to reach the podium at her first and many other world championship events. she was quickly gaining popularity among fans of the sport; any practices that weren't closed would get increasingly full of spectators wanting to see what she did next.
she especially grew in popularity among younger people with aspirations of following in her footsteps. because of jinseon's charisma and pretty face, there were always the cheeky questions of when her drama debut would come being thrown around. she was so focused on competing however that she had little room for other ambitions.

the republic of korea's noc eventually came calling and jinseon was officially chosen to compete in the 2014 winter games in sochi, which is around the same time everlast entertainment first took note of her!
ngl, swiping gold away from russia's almost unbeatable skating team in their own country was an extremely scary time for her, esp being only 16 at the time, but the graceful way in which she publicly handled the pressures of it all was widely praised and eventually earned her a contract at everlast entertainment.
she was getting to do commercials and magazine covers and interviews, as long as her management team signed off on them. it was something that resembled freedom but was actually far from it, not that she seemed to care at the time.
jinseon became so swept up in being the perfect teen role model, and eventually the perfect young adult role model. it was a lot to take on, but she shouldered everything with a smile, only pausing to allow her anxiety to grip her when she was in the confines of solitude.
when the 2022 winter games come around, everything is seemingly business as usual. she's sticking to her status quo and waiting for her ice time when she catches wind of another competitor's intention to bust out a surprise 4lo.
her coaches fly into a panic, thinking this may sink her chances of winning gold. their solution is for jinseon to go even bigger, landing the first ever quad axel, something she nor any other skater had ever successfully done in competition up until that point.
maybe it was her anxiety, maybe it was the olympic mind games, or maybe it was the fact that she simply wasn't skilled enough. she attempted the jump and it went catastrophically. in an attempt to catch herself, her skate hit the ice early and well before she was able to brace for the impact. she felt an excruciating sear through her entire leg, especially around her knee. no one had told her anything yet, but deep down, she knew. as she lay sobbing on the ice, she knew she wasn't coming back from this.
both her mcl and acl were pretty much obliterated, having to be surgically reconstructed shortly after the games. as she expected, she was told she'd never be able to strap on skates at a competitive level ever again, if even at a recreational level.
she felt rly lost for awhile, not really knowing what to do with herself. she had to go through physical therapy to help heal her knee and regain mobility, but a good deal of her pain was mental and emotional as well. she'd essentially gone through a loss and felt as if she'd let down everyone in the process. for awhile, she wasn't rly seen in public and mostly stayed at her home in seoul.
it was quite honestly her fanbase that got her thru this time! their continued support despite her not being able to do cool figure skating jumps anymore meant more than she could ever express to them. their insistence that she try out acting was p much what made her take that leap, once she was mostly back to physical health. for the first time since her injury, she felt like her life wasn't over.
her management team was far from happy about her auditioning for kang hanna in agency. they felt like a less conceited, chaebol role sans a romance plotline would be a better first outing for her, but she wanted something different! something that didn't feel so controlled! something that didn't make her constantly think about what she had lost!

it was an uplifting experience getting to step outside of herself and take on the role of someone with such a different personality. it allowed her to detach from her own situation for a few weeks and focus on something else entirely.

really leaned into her artistic / creative side as a teenager, which eventually led to her leaving home for seoul and auditioning at hearthub records. she managed to get a spot for an upcoming girl group, but the project was eventually put on "indefinite hiatus."
harin honestly didn't mind; she knew she didn't want to share the spotlight with other members in a group, no thanks! when she was approached by a culture creative rep before her contract was even up, she agreed to sign to the new label asap.
november 2022, harin debuted as soloist arin, a "self-producing" artist who's honestly more of an internet celebrity than a kpop idol.

she's been pushing the boundaries of being "company-owned" since the very beginning, sneaking around her managers and slipping up with her language on instagram lives. it's quickly become part of her charm though as a more "down-to-earth" artist.
really as unfiltered as a public figure can get. she still covers up the ugly parts, of course, but she's quick to speak her mind, stand up to staff, and snap back when interviewers get a little too personal.
honestly i was generous when i gave her a 3 out of 5 reputation. dw she'll be down to 0.5 soon! ( /j or am i ).
as bubbly and weird as she is, harin is honestly still pretty self-conscious, prefers her alone time, and makes sure to keep everyone at an arm's length. she's here to have fun, above all else, and will curate her environment to her liking.
spends most of her free time making music, partying, hanging out at other people's apartments and getting drunk, and making messes for her managers to clean up. she's really been pushing her luck recently though, so she's trying to cut back from being too wild...
her immediate goals are to release an album and get permission to start a youtube channel ( though the second item might be a tall order given her track record ).
her reach goals are to not get so famous that she can't go to the convenience store without getting photographed and to do a world tour.

born in daejeon, south korea (nov 24 1995) but was basically raised in the countryside by his grandmother while mom worked in the city.
his grandmother was the one to kickstart his dreams to be onscreen, always watching tv dramas and reality shows with him every evening.
the family moved up to seoul together when he was done with high school, which is where he was scouted into a midtier company as an idol trainee.
didn't know anything about performing and it showed. but for the lack of talent, he made up for with a crazy work ethic, and he showed major improvements during his training period.
in 2015, he debuted in a 7-member boy group that flopped hard. after just one comeback, the group disbanded may 2017.
the rest of the year was spent in one massive slump, taking part time jobs and some small modeling gigs as a site model to make ends meet while wondering wtf he was going to do with his life.
got a casting call for an "idol revival" show (similar to "the unit") and ended up joining the show with 2 of his former group members. the show helped push him back into the spotlight as a charismatic leader figure who was great at catching screen time and votes. he made it to the final episode, but didn't quite make the cut for the final lineup of the group.
following another heartbreak, he really didn't know what to expect his life to throw at him next, so a contract with adagio was a happy surprise.
a couple shoot with a senior model under adagio catapulted him back into the spotlight, and he's been garnering opportunities and attention since.
his slow crawl to success has honestly only just started, even though it's been 8 years since his first official debut. he's trying not to let the lost time get to him in case he falls back into another slump, but as soon as work slows down a little, he can't help but feel like he's fading again. (we'll see what evil ways i have planned to get him the attention he wants so bad...)

yohan is the picturesque "adagio actor/model standard 3000 max." he's likable, focused on his work, doesn't create any issues, and keeps his distance from the public in a way that shelters his image (think cha eunwoo but way less popular).
has intense focus when he has something to do, but it's mostly because he gets easily distracted if he's not putting his all into the task at hand.
hates to feel stuck, so he's always finding ways to seek out something new to experience. new food, new feelings, new friends, new lovers; he'll try anything once.
he doesn't exactly feel very approachable when he's off the clock, but once you get him started, he'll talk your ear off.
a people pleaser. he hates to assume so he'll ask a lot of questions or just seem clueless in personal situations until he knows exactly what the other party wants. (has accidentally rejected many advances in this manner...)
just kind of a work-obsessed idiot who feels like time is running out fast for him and knows he'll have a breakdown the moment he has a second to think. :-\

a musician friend; he doesn't miss his idol days much, but he can still appreciate a good song or a long karaoke session. will probably think you're the coolest person in the world if you play instruments.
past relationships, flings, crushes; he probably let you down too nicely, whether that came as a relief or something to be pissed about for you.
someone who pulled away; whether you wanted to be friends or something more, the way he's just so nice to everyone had you cutting ties before anything could happen. it just rubbed you the wrong way.
a lingering crush; he's way too old to be blushing but you just know exactly what to say and do to stir up new feelings.
