Well you'd need to look into it further but I'm pretty sure you need a visa to be here for an extended period of time, and you almost definitely need one to work here. I'm sure Google can give you better answers than me Also MOVE TO TORONTO

A coworker just moved to Canada (husband got into grad school in Calgary) and the moving expenses were ridiculous. They pretty much had to sell everything because the tax to bring stuff into the country was astronomical

OKLAHOMA. THOMI COME ON. COME BE WITH ME AND JULIE AND BE HAPPY
Omg, that sounds like a lot of work. Not that I wouldn’t be willing to put in the time and the effort if it meant that my standard of living and my mental health would be increased exponentially. But it costs to bring stuff into the country? Really? That sounds so weird. Like, why? Is it a sort of import/export dealio? (Toronto looks lovely, by the way.) And while I would absolutely drop everything and head to Oklahoma if it were just me (because you two are awesome and I love you dearly and I need to meet you like pronto), the fact of the matter is, it’s not just me, and my love is pretty dead-set on getting the heck out of this country. Not that I can really blame him. It’s falling apart.
