hii 19, 24, 34 for the book ask game

19. do you enjoy retellings and what is your opinion on modern retellings?

I looove a good retelling. (la nuit de valogne by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt is GREAT). I don't have anything against modern retellings but I do think that to nail it the author has to understand what the original story was about and further it/subvert that expectation in some way. SO personally I'm not a huge fan of the latest trend of taking a random greek mythology setting and slapping a modern romance on it. Buuuutt I did enjoy The song of Achilles.

24. is there a book you really want to read but still haven’t read yet? Read the first two books of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le guin , haven't found the time to read the rest :(

34. would you rather forget your favourite book(s) forever but never read a bad book again for the rest of your life OR remember your favourite book(s) but only ever read mediocre books for the rest of your life?

I'd say forget my favorites. At least I have a chance of getting new faves and I'll still be able to enjoy the hobby. (tho i will be sad to never read a terrible trashy romance novel ever again)

anything cute or particularly stylised hehe. i really respect people who can convey skill through simple/cartoony forms. & u know i love furry art, i wish i could do that some day

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

probably this one? especially the first drawing. idk how i achieved that look and i may never be able to again
