malakhi would never be a morning person. he did not rise with the sun, favoring waking when it had already found its peak in the day. but today was different; perhaps it was being back in london after his time away, not knowing what to expect from this season, the first one that he was actually putting even a bit of effort into making successful.
after a while malakhi gave up on his rest. he dressed and made his way out, strolling through the crisp air with nowhere in mind to go. he walked for a while before he ended up at the park. he continued his stroll, people watching as he did, simply letting himself get lost in his own thoughts. that is until he noticed a large dog bounding towards him, a small frame struggling to keep up behind it.
malakhi bent over slightly to meet the dog as it stopped at his feet, his hands coming to the sides of his face as he scratched at his ears. “not at all.” malakhi laughed, shaking his head as he looked up at the girl in front of him. “never a bad thing to meet a lovely creature.. or two.”
Blaidd seemed as if he was content to be petted for the rest of the day as he leaned into the scratches. Meanwhile, Eira rotated her shoulder a little, wincing as she realized that as sore as it was right then, it would hurt even more later. Still, she did not have the heart to scold the large dog, for he was little more than a puppy, and if he did not know any better, it was her fault for not training him to mind her commands.
She was relieved that the young man did not seem angry about her misbehaving canine, and she even found herself smiling and blushing from his rather flirtatious comment, though she knew she should rebuff him or at the very least, ignore it. “Indeed? Does that mean I am to recieve the same treatment when you are done with him?”, she asked before she could help it, her green eyes twinkling in the bright sunshine. She laughed softly at her own joke, though she knew Lady Sophia would likely scold her for asking him such an improper question.
“This is Blaidd.”, she said, introducing the animal as if he was a person, but she figured he had the right to know the dog’s name after bestowing such affections upon him. “And you are?”, she couldn’t help asking, the man’s face still partially obscured from her view as he pet the dog.
