Derek was starting to get restless. His mother had said that it wasn’t uncommon for wolves not to find their banshees at his age, but it didn’t stop him from being restless. It was like he was missing part of himself and it made his head itch constantly. He was trying very hard not to scratch at his head as he stood up at the front of the class. They had just moved to Beacon Hills per his mother’s job as Alpha over all of the Packs in the West Coast, so he didn’t want his first impression to be of him looking like a dog with a flea behind its ear. “Thank you, Derek.” the teacher smiled, gesturing him to a seat beside a ginger haired girl, “Take a seat by Miss Lydia over there if you please.

He nodded, the buzzing in his ears growing louder as he walked towards his seat. He tried not to grimace as he sat down, giving the girl a brief smile before rubbing at his head furiously.

Not when he has Lydia in his arms, the slow burn of scratches on his back and he presses his nose to the back of her neck, her hair tickling at him as he nips ever so gently at her pale skin. "You know, I don't normally do this," he murmurs, laughing softly. His arm snakes around Lydia, resting over her belly and Zach keeps his nose pressed against her skin, his eyes closing. "Don't kick me out."
