Omg finally open.. How about something angsty with hanamiya telling his s/o something really rude that made her cry? Like REALLY angsty. Thank you ❤
Admin chloe here~ let me start off just by saying it was so hard not to make this end with hanamiya getting punched in the face. I love hanamiya too but im not too good at angst? however! im not gonna refuse it because if anything, it’s good practice :3
Dating someone like Hanamiya Makotorequired stamina. You had to be able to handle the manipulation and the mentalblows he dished out daily whether it was to yourself or someone else.
You were constantly picking up the piecesfrom the tornado that was your difficult boyfriend. You apologised foreverything he did and said and laughed off the criticism people gave you fordating someone as despicable as him.
“You just need to get to know him,” you’dinsist time after time, “he’s really not that bad.”
He didn’t do all the things otherboyfriends did like holding hands as you walked home from school or hang outtogether at a café while studying together. Hanamiya would sooner die than haveyou feed him something like a parfait or a sundae.
You had hope that one day he’d have thecourage to give you something as small as a bracelet or even a single flower toshow that he really did care. He wouldn’t be with you if he didn’t actuallylike you, right?
After another long day at school, youthought it was going to happen. Hanamiya waited for you outside your classroomand causally asked, “Want to go get something to eat?”
You contained your excitement but it tookeverything you had not to jump for joy at this leap of kindness and point tohim exclaiming that he really did care about you and that everyone else was therude one.
He still made no move to hold your hand butyou were content with how things were going so far. You followed him to thecafé that many other students in the area frequented after school. Most of themwere couples which made you even more excited.
You ordered a milkshake while he found atable. When you asked why he didn’t order anything, he said it was okay andthat he could just share with you. He sounded so gentle as he said it too, addin a warm smile and you could just melt.
He asked for you to sit next to him insteadof across from him. You tested if he would be okay with you snuggling up tohim. He was! You snuggled in close and inhaled his scent. This was how it feltlike to be like everyone else. This was how a relationship was meant to feellike and felt wonderful. Nothing could ruin it. A classmate could run in andsay you have another five hours’ worth of homework to add to your load but you’dstill be okay.
“Hey, _____, get in closer, I havesomething important I want to tell you,” he said softly.
Your heart pounded so hard in your chestyou felt he could hear it as well as feel it. You just knew he was going to saythose words that you say all the time to him but he just waves them off with a ‘whatever.’Everything was perfect.
“I’ve wanted to say this to you for areally long time,” he whispered to you, eyes looking straight into yours as hestroked your cheek delicately.
Here it comes. Everything was going to beworth it. All the hours spent in your room secretly sobbing would all be worthit once he just said those words. He’d finally hold your hand and kiss yourforehead when you were upset. He’d hold you close when it was cold and eat popsicleswith you when it was hot. He was finally going to change just for you.
Your heart stopped. All the happy imagesdisappeared and your body felt numb.
“Huh?” you weakly asked, hoping you’d justmisheard. Just as you said that, you heard a click and saw a flash. Hanamiyahad his phone out and had taken a picture of your reaction. He stared at theimage and laughed.
“Now I have a picture of your stupid faceforever,” he cackled, flipping the phone shut.
Hanamiya had said mean things before, plenty of mean things. You never allowed yourself to cry in front of him thoughbecause then he’d think you weren’t able to take it. You had to be able to takewhat he through at you so he’d see how strong and worthy you were.
“You must really be an idiot,” hecontinued, “did you really think I was going to bring you here and do all thelovey-dovey shit? Get a grip, _____. I’m not that kind of guy and I never willbe.”
Your cheeks were hot and wet. You werecrying. You couldn’t stop. Your shoulders were shaking and your bottom lip wasquivering. Your throat was dry and you couldn’t move your limbs.
In a way, he was right. You must be stupidbecause you continued to stay with a guy like him, believing and hoping he’dchange.
“Oh wow, this actually might make an evenbetter picture,” he snickered and flipped the phone open once more.
Hanamiya left after snapping anotherpicture of you. You stayed behind more because you didn’t dare stand up unlessyou fell right back down and you didn’t want to embarrass yourself anymore. Youdrank your tasteless milkshake and only managed to start making your way homewhen it had gotten dark.
You avoided your family and headed straightfor your room, locking the door. Your face was still stained with tears but youcouldn’t bring yourself to move again after sitting down at your desk.
An hour later, your phone buzzed. A textfrom your ‘boyfriend.’
[I hada great time today _____. Let’s do it again tomorrow so I can see more of yourcrying face.]
You whirled around to your bedroom door andthrough the phone as hard as you could and screamed. It smashed against thewooden surface and made the most satisfying noise for about a second.
You must really be the most stupidestperson in the world.
