You were "Whiplash"?? That's awesome! How were you involved? How did you manage to get involved? :)
I was in Whiplash! In the last scene, I play trombone. I am the only woman in the JVC band. Basically, since music is such an important part of the film, they wanted as many real musicians as possible, I submitted for one of the jazz trombonist roles online (on one of the many casting websites out there), and since I played trombone for several years in school, they called me in!
I worked on the film for three days, and honestly, when I was working on it, I never expected it to be as big as it became! I wasn’t even aware it had been released, until a friend of mine said she saw me in it. I’m just in the background, but it has still been a cool journey to know I was involved in a film, which has garnered so much attention and praise.
