Maybe because I grew up in a time when actors, writers, producers, etc. didn't use social media to the same degree they do today, I can’t even begin to rationalize the demanding, entitled, threatening subset of any fandom.

These actors owe you nothing. The writers don’t owe you anything either.

Your ship doesn't have to be canon to be valid. To be worthwhile. To be important to you.

I don’t understand why any “fan” thinks it’s okay to threaten any element of a show. Because they think they know better? Because they have to get what they want to be validated?

There is, of course, a difference in pointing out things that are problematic on a show versus demanding that you get your way. Or that, perhaps, you know a character better than it’s creators. Or the actors even.

I just hate that a small group would want to harm other parts of the same family. Whatever ship you love on a show, they are all sitting at the same dock. Big or small, doesn't really matter, they have the same home. 

Sometimes I wish for the days of only snail mail. I doubt a lot of these people would take the time to write out and send a letter. It’s so much easier to spam hate on Twitter though.

Will is coming across as more disgusting than Jeff right now, which is quite a feat. Layla didn't sign up to be Will's professional beard, she had that role thrust upon her and now according to Will, she's not allowed to have a life outside of her fake one with him.
