I discovered Lily Story and I'm making it everyone else's problem by making my ocs in it. Presenting: my Thalassic Arson OCs:

I'm gonna yap about them under the cut. Could I just write the fic series? yes, but that takes time I do not have at the moment, so instead there's this

Left to right, top to bottom (even though they're labeled):

Cassidy Reed: You know that one episode of austin & ally, season 1, Diners & Daters, where Austin has a crush on this girl Cassidy but she moves to LA with her band? Yeah, this is her, and that's her band, Thalassic Arson. I gave her a last name. She plays the bass, and she loves music and her friends, and she's bi <3

Lucy Stone: You already know who she is. I accept hcs that she's bi, but in this fic series she's a lesbian. argue with the wall. While BTR is on their All Over the World Tour, TA moves into the Palm Woods, and in a twist on a common btr fic trope, Lucy falls for Cassidy and vice versa.

Styx Watkins: The drummer of TA and a bit of an adhd disaster (she gets that from me, I'm sorry. They just all look childlike in the character creator, but when her mind isn't going a mile a minute, Styx can be mature and responsible just like her friends and bandmates.

Theo Cambrien: The guitarist for TA and a they/them lesbian, Theo balances out Styx's hyperactivity well, though they're perfectly capable of having fun, obviously. There was a brief period of time where they had to fight Guitar Dude over the idea that there was, in fact, room for two of them to play guitar by the pool.

Nicole Wright (Nicky): She doesn't appear much in the main storyline, since she's Danny's girlfriend from back home. Several TA songs were written about her. While the band finishes their senior year of high school while in LA, Nicky remains in Miami, though not without plans to visit the gang soon.

Danny Leavitt: He plays the keyboard for TA, which is often more valuable than his ability to play guitar. Very much an "I love my wife (gf)!" type. His jacket is his most valuable possession, due to how much he'd customized it. He's also mostly deaf in one ear. (I named him after an astronomer <3)

I think some of this lore is touched on in Lights, Canines, Arson! which is unnecessarily long, but it's mostly cute and stars these guys. I'm not entirely sure to consider it 100% canon, but it is what it is ig. the first fic in the series is namedropped in the first pic

I've been thinking about Theo more lately, so I'll talk about them!

Greek godly parent: I'm really not sure! I think it would be kinda funny if they were a child of Apollo but got taken in by Artemis.

A moment they consider the best of their life: Probably Thalassic Arson's first concert. Not the short run of LA shows where they opened for a few of Lucy and BTR's (separate) shows, but their first real concert, where everyone there paid to see TA.

I already mentioned this in a different post, but Taste by Sabrina Carpenter. Switch the pronouns and you've got the aftermath of the theomille breakup.

Their 3 genie wishes: 1) For their family to accept them 2) For their record label to have enough money to run properly 3) For Thalassic Arson to (one day soon) become a household name

Favorite thing to eat for breakfast...I feel like they're an oatmeal kind of person for a quick breakfast. Lots of brown sugar. Or a muffin.

I actually didn't have a middle name for them before, but I'm thinking it's something like Mae. Something annoyingly feminine that went well with their full name, but that doesn't sound very good with Theo at all. It was likely chosen just bc it sounded nice. (personally using a friend of mine as inspo for this, since that's their middle name, and they had a long -a name before going by something else)

A moment they consider to be the worst of their life: When they realized they were outed to their parents via an interview. The feeling sunk in when their mom called them, furious. James ended up handling it for them, but it was not a fun time for anyone.

A topic they could talk about for hours: Believe it or not, Theo used to be a math kind of person. (can't drive gays represent!) Math and music theory were their best subjects, not that they had any bad subjects. It's not easy to get Theo talking for a long time, but if you do, they can talk about music theory and songwriting for hours.

They weren't quick to anger, mostly because their parents had high expectations, so Theo was never one to lose their temper, lash out, or argue much. During their time in LA, they open up a bit more, gaining confidence and embracing the freedom they have now that they're away from their parents. Even then, it takes something big to get them to lose their temper immediately, such as the moment they broke up with Camille. They're usually logical in their anger, crashing out less than Logan tends to do sometimes now that the weight of Miami is off their shoulders. So, their anger is usually justified, but it's still in the moment.

Thanks for the ask! I love yapping about my children, but without prompting I tend to put it off (I have so much work to do its not even funny...that doesn't stop me from answering asks even though it should).

2025 theo covered 'taste' and switched out the pronouns after they broke up with camille and camille got back together with logan (again)

Ok, so theo and camille broke up bc they hadn't told everyone and camille kinda sorta cheated on them with logan (a little like the plot of bt girlfriends but without a happy ending) but logan didn't know so he's not to blame...and there's a "canon" reason danny sorta ends up the "therapyspeak" friend (he went to therapy for two months when he was sixteen after his parents divorced and he took it to heart). also theo's got a rough past they don't like to talk about. all in all, the band gets a new song out of it
