economic summit, spring 2021 copenhagen, denmark. @theo-henriksen
Theo was nowhere to be found. Simon had seen the crown prince late in the morning, but come lunch hour, he had virtually disappeared. Simon didn’t know his way around the Danish palace like he did other places--rather, he had been here before, with Ingrid, but it was such a long time ago.
On and off Simon found himself distracted from his duties as ambassador on behalf of his father, his thoughts switching from dry supply chain issues to where the missing prince was. Mostly because the last time Theo went missing, he had escaped a much more somber event, and with Lecia, who had been with Simon most of the day.
After letting Lecia know he was stepping out, Simon abandoned the mingling gathering of royals to investigate the courtyard for some fresh air. Towering potted plants obscured the spaces in between stone paths. He walked along one of the paths and stopped to admire a budding rose bush. Someone was seated on the other side of it. Simon stepped around to the front of the bench and grinned when he saw who he found.
“There you are, Theo. I was afraid you had found someone besides Lecia to play hooky with you.”
