I know i’m going on a little rant but my intentions are clean. I came from a very interesting place. 95% of my family was in the motherland of Punjab, Pakistan and my immediate family mamma, pops and two siblings is all we had. I couldn't identify with grandparents, cousins and aunts & uncles because i was never present in these matters. When my grandparents died, i couldn't feel a thing. When my uncles passed, i still couldn't feel a thing. I had one aunt that lived close to us when she died, the world flipped upside down. Then i was in the search for love in different streams. Met friends made and treated them like family got backstabbed and it hurt. But i started to feel the importance in a bond. My father got locked up for 3 years while my mamma didnt work a day she came from Pakistan with my father -- that hurted like a bitch. Those struggles got me stronger and when i can carry myself and i secure myself, everything around me started to make more sense as i felt i was evolving. I released the bond in a family is unconditional. We argue, fist fight and at the end, we patch it. Now i can identify relationships that are within a family. This trip to the motherland, Pakistan was needed. Thank you Abdul R. Awan (my father) for staying strong. This song is dedicated to you.
