Nathan tucks loose blond locks behind his ear, avoiding meeting the gaze of his elder brother. “Enoch, how can you be so certain? Even about uncertainty?” He pauses, shuffling feet upon ground and focusing intently upon the dirt disturbed by the movement. “I worry - what if I fall out of love with law? What if I am terrible at it? I would much rather be given no choice in the matters.”

It wasn’t one of his conventional haunts, but it was always fun to try new places. Paul took a seat at the bar, ordering a beer and determining to relax. He took a sideways glance at the young man seated beside him, his eyes falling to the lines of ink just barely visible under the hem of his sleeve. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t the most polite thing ever, but he leaned a little closer. “Your tattoo’s really nice. Really good quality. Where’d you get it done?” he asked with a friendly smile, turning his eyes to the man’s face.
