The psychology in Criminal Minds is just atrocious. That show is so hideously problematic but I love it so much

i’m guessing if you’re performing in a language you should have some proficiency in it anyway. I’d say translate it yourself using a proper dictionary and talk to a native speaker

I'm thinking something like that.

As someone whose native language is English I know I'm bound to mess up. But I feel like having lines in another language is important, no matter what kind of media you're working in, because that reflects real life.

You're not going to understand everything someone says, and you won't understand every language in the world. If you're watching something, you can have subtitles. And even if you don't, so long as the thing is moderately famous, this is the age of the internet. Odds are, someone has kindly translated that bit for you for free.

Four years ago. It was a steak I bought especially for my birthday, a beautifully seasoned rump. I had it with a  baked potato roughly the size of my head, sour cream, bacon and spring onions, portobello mushrooms fried in garlic, balsamic vinegar and port and a side of collared greens. It was frankly transcendent

Professional writer (because I’m fairly sure ‘idle rich’ isn’t a profession)
