Is this really the Best Burger in New York City?? So last night I decided to order some Japanese take out and chill at home with a dvd. Whilst waiting for my Sushi to be prepared I went for a walk to waste time and found little tiny little French Restaurant. I'm not sure what pulled me in but it looked like a perfect place to have a glass of red wine whilst waiting. I started speaking to the bar girl about the restaurant and menu and she tells me 'We got rated number 2 best burger in the nation for CNN and number 1 in NYC'. Hearing a statement like this made me regret ordering my Japanese take out. I went back today for lunch just to try this 'Number 1 Burger' and decide for myself. I'm not a usual red meat eater and when i do eat it (once or twice a year) it has to be good. So the burger arrives in a toast, not your usual bun. Tick Tick Tick.... I'm not exactly sure what they put in it, there was cheese, caramelised red onions and some herbs (looked like a pesto but not 100% sure). It tasted so good I didn't even bother asking. The meat was so clean and tender - everything was perfect, even the fries!! I spent nearly 40 minutes eating it, it was so good I wanted to enjoy every bite as slowly as I could. I haven't travelled the nation or been on a burger hunt - but this burger is definitely the best burger i have tried to date. I've sent 3 friends there tonight for their business meeting dinner - not worried one bit. Everyone needs to try this burger - especially those who are always in search of the perfect burger!
