Were there any timelines in which you played along with Romeo's challenges in the Icy Palace of Despair, or did you consider him to be too much of an tantrum-throwing omnipotent man-child for that?

“Oh, he is totally a giant man-child for sure. More often than not there is little choice in the matter or else he gets so dramatic and tries to destroy everything.

Sometimes I play his games, sometimes I play dumb and let the others take the lead and coast by. “

Headcanon A:  realistic

Romeo gets to relearn how to be human, and I don’t just mean in the moral/ethical/accepting-and-appreciating-the-smaller-things-in-life sense. He hasn’t had to breathe in ages. Hunger is entirely foreign to him. He’s ridiculously weak when he initially loses his powers. (Jesse’s kind of busy for a while helping him relearn How to Human.)

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Romeo initially used his snowman form to spook and surprise Xara, way back when it was just the three of them, their powers, and their cabin.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Xara actually heals pretty quickly, once she has access to sunshine and good food and her own bed. It’s not an easy or smooth process, but she’s spent so long hating Romeo that frankly she’s burnt out on it- forgiving him isn’t easy, and he has to earn every bit of it, but she’s also not constantly raging or seething at him, because she’s honestly too bust living her best life and working on helping their people rebuild.

Romeo, on the other hand? A lot of people hate Romeo, so it’s a tough call, but Romeo might just hate himself more than anyone else. Xara’s emotional recovery helps highlight his own failings and his own upcoming struggles, and he wishes she would hate him more, or at least show it.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

He, Xara, and Fred spent and indescribably long time content within their cabin, slowly exploring the world around them and their own abilities but largely viewing the cabin as a decently roomy center to their world. It’s only after everything goes so far downhill that Romeo consciously realizes how small and cramped the cabin seems to him now, somehow still managing to be so very, very empty now that Fred’s dead.

Thaaat... depends on what point they’re at in their relationship. At the height of it, it was more arguing about what to wear or what to do; towards the end it was more of a one-sided shouting match as Oli tried to convince him not to leave Sourcemist... assuming Ant ever told him his plan to leave.

23. Who is better with kids?

Oli. Hands-down. He has a very strong parental instinct that makes him an absolute legend with kids - human and animal alike.

24. Who’s the better cook?

Also Oli, honestly. Neither of them are particularly good at it, but at least Oli’s cooking is edible ;P

Ant. He’s very lucky Oli sleeps like a tank.

ANT!! He’s a light sleeper and will find any opportunity he can to wrap himself around Oli like a koala.

Whichever one of them happens to actually be wearing a jacket at that moment. Neither of them are very good about it.

It just slips out of Oli’s mouth one day after... I suppose after Ant has a practice session with the old band, and Ant is taken aback by it - but later on goes back and actually talks it out with Oli to see what’s actually going on.
