Katie + Vish | The Movie Trailer Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay
It was a wild 48 hours with Katie and Vish for their Multicultural Celebration. Friday morning was the Vidhi, which is traditional religious rituals held on the day before the actual wedding. The bride and groom are prepared for the wedding ceremony and the family pray to ward off evil spirits from the wedding and to protect the couple in their married life together. One of the preparations the families cover the bride and groom's face, hands, and feet in a thick yellow turmeric paste intended not only to keep the evil spirits away but to enhance his skin color for the wedding ceremony. Saturday mornings festivities started with The Baraat, which is the arrival of the groom (traditionally on an elephant or white horse) Well, when you have a Mazerati who needs a horse. Then continued into the Grand Ballroom as Katie walked down the aisle with her Catholic Priest Uncle. Since Vish's family is Indian and Katie's family is America, their was a Christian wedding that evening. No family member was left out, even Peanut, the couples little 3 lb 13 year old adorable little chihuahua acting as the flower dog. Katie and Vish said their I do's in a beautiful candle lit ceremony. Their reception decor we centered around orange and white florals. They had an amazing sweets table with all kinds of different little desserts and macaroons. They even made their grand entrance on a Rickshaw! Vish put one down for the record as he is the first groom to sing the couples first dance while dancing with Katie! Toasts, dances, and so many sweet moments.
