This was one of the sad things about Sri Lanka. The litter was really bad and it was everywhere. Some restaurants and hotels try and maintain their areas to keep the beach clean but many did not. We stayed at the Wavy Beach Hotel in Tangelle which had an amazing location and we had a fantastic sea view. The hotel it's self wasn't very clean and the part of the beach that they used looked like this! My self and my daughter cleaned this whole area in about 1/2 hr. After that people started to use this part of the beach again. Don't sit around moaning about it something that you can help do fix! This is what I teach my children.
