okay but nothing is more terrifying than going from a week where we got a thumbnail and description super early to this week where it’s already friday and no thumbnail.

there was a boy

with a ghost inside his body that lived a different life familiar motions in foreign places with old friends easy laughter in hard times and memorizing unsteady grins  growing close too quickly for the sake of surviving

he claimed all of this world and nothing

with lungs on fire, open mouth, lips a busted tourniquet bleeding words that rushed off his tongue like an open wound he never allowed to heal

(maybe to remember what it felt like to believe until it was painful)

clutching values and morals, grip shaking and whiteknuckled not after an ideal world but just one worth fighting in

This is not pride, it was not a way to die.

not with memories as unwoken guests that sleep behind closed door ways locked and without a key, just furled fists that knock on hollow walls whispering of the truth, mirror images of a version inside himself now teetering on the precipice of understanding another life never quite seeing what was once his

there was a ghost boy here a soldier boy in limbo

with heavy steps forward and footprints behind him that lead no where every decision in him like live wire, snapped at one end and dangerously alive imprinting himself in every person and place, always chasing shadows mapping out bullet wounds of a forgotten ghost with a predetermined grave toeing a thin line between the dead and living

a second world he will lose himself in
