Initially I thought it was my fault. Like most girls, I asked what it was I did wrong... I thought I saw a boy, misunderstood and trying. You told me things I believed a select few were pervy to. But in the back of my mind I knew nothing you said was true; though a part of me really hoped it was. Still, I believed you were better then others words. Your own brothers did not trust you. I even heard what she [the girl who loved you] had to say and I disregarded every word. In a way I wanted everyone to be wrong, partly so I could be right, but also because you are human and everyone deserves a new start [and that statement falls under faults of my own]. I accept you are human and I can forgive you for that. But I will not make myself smaller for you-- anymore. I told myself the same words a million times, but it was not until I heard them from another's mouth did it truly resonant. I wish I could say I cared for you but it was the idea that I played with more so and now you've gone and ruined that too.
