Mr. Fryman: What’s you favorite potato dish?

I’m a sucker for a loaded potato soup in a bread bowl. Bacon, cheese, various veggies, and tortilla chips, all mixed into a hearty base and soaking into more bread than I should be allowed to eat at a meal, now that is the life.

Peedee: What did you want to be when you grew up?

Well let’s see…there was the cowboy phase, the marine biologist phase, the vet phase, the singer phase (not necessarily done with that, though more performance in general rather than purely singing), the astronaut phase, the archaeologist phase… I don’t think I really ever had a president phase so that’s something.

Ronaldo: Do you believe in conspiracy theories?

So I visited the conspiracy theory page on Wikipedia and OH MY GOD there are SO MANY “citation needed” flags (as expected honestly). Of everything on that page, I think the only things I even remotely consider plausible are the “Who killed the electric car?” question, because money, and the weirdness around the MLK Jr. assassination. That page infuriates me.

i am literally so torn because my first answer would be “earthsea” but only if i could be a wizard, and if i was a wizard i don’t think i would be remotely recognizable as the person i am so i’m not going to say earthsea, and i’m not going to say the hainish disapora, even though i love it, because telepathy is bullshit. instead i’m going to say Whileaway, which is a place that pops up in a few of Joanna Russ’s works. it is a colder, quieter, emptier world than our earth. and everyone is gay and communist.

i like potatoes in soup a lot, i guess? like beef stew, or clam chowder.

YELLOW DIAMOND - What’s your opinion on aliens?

the idea of extraterrestrial life is, i think, not that exciting in itself. like there are archaea in underground volcanoes that are basically alien to the planet as i perceive it, and if they can live there there’s probably weird methane bacteria on titan and whatnot, and i don’t care. i literally don’t. but intelligent alien life is this whole other thing because how do we define that??? how do we recognize it??? it’s like, how do you talk to an octopus??? how do you talk to a pine tree??? now multiply how difficult that is by the stars in the sky??? that is so fucking cool!

also i would totally make out with garrus i don’t care about his weird scars or turian metal skin or terrifying mandibles we’d make it work

does this mean a song i liked when i was a preteen, or one that came out when i was a preteen? because there’s not a lot of overlap there. god what did i listen to before i was a teen? green day? i think i liked “boulevard of broken dreams” a lot.

D R U B A and E X O for the ask thing

Drink you last had? -I am drinking water right now in the hopes that it helps get rid of this headache.

Reason to smile? -This a hard question only because there are so many but let’s go with basically just the last 24 hours. Lab went quickly today, I got some free pizza, I actually really like this drizzly weather, I’ve talked to some really cool people, listened to my new SHINee album, watched the first couple episodes of EXO’s new drama, I don’t really have any pressing homework or tests for once. Yeah, it was a pretty good day.

Umbrella color? -I actually don’t use umbrellas hardly ever, only borrowing if absolutely necessary. I usually just go with a hood on a rain jacket.

Birthday? -I guess since it’s on Facebook already anyway I guess I don’t mind saying that it’s Sept. 15 but the year I won’t put here only because if you know me, you already know.

Available? -Tragically so. I kind of want to remedy that but at the same time I have no clue if I have time for a relationship to that level????? I want to though……..

Easiest person to talk to? -Honestly probably you? Though there are friends here at college that are also super easy to talk to, but not about all the same stuff. Very few other people put up with my fanboying.

X rays I have had? -Ummm the dentist and orthodontist somewhat regularly, more so in the past. Otherwise I think only one other time when I had a cough for like three months so we checked it out and it turned out to be like a mild bronchitis or something like that.

One wish? -only one is, again, difficult. I think I’m gonna go with wishing that all of my planning for the semesters ahead goes smoothly to the point where I don’t end up disappointing any of my commitments. That’ll probably change in the next twenty minutes though.
