We've already brought the old Tumblr vibes on Project Hail Mary, we could commit even more. Where is the AU where the Tardis lands on Erid inside Grace's biome and the Doctor is delighted, awed and extatic to not only meet an actual legend in the books of Earth's history and it's relationship to the universe, but also learn that he actually survived. Despite what everyone had assumed, there he was. He found his home among the stars.

Where is the Au where he offers him and Rocky a visit to Earth just for the heck of it before they return home without having to worry about how much time the trip will take. Where is he and Rocky nerding out about their technologies, and their cultures, because they are both alien to each other too. While Grace gets to hang out with whomever companion came along at the time. The first actual human interaction he has had in years and they talk about their alien besties, their place in the universe and of course... Earth.

I am facing the potential of a Project Hail Mary sequel, with the exact same emotion I was facing the relationship between Stratt and Grace in the movie the first time I watched it. Deep gutting dread of an impact waiting to happen, at the inescapable knowledge of what Hollywood does, as I hold my breath and whisper "please, don't..."
