Of course! Here you go - opinion is under the cut!

FIRST IMPRESSION:

I really like your theme! It’s so clean and it works cohesively with your graphics. The font really stands out against your header image of New York and I like how it is bright! I often see black and white New York images on roleplay mains, so it’s cool to see something different is being brought to the table. Your other graphics are also very nice. The colour scheme of your theme is really easy on the eyes and I like how you’ve used softer colours with the black! It makes everything look well defined.

Roleplays set in New York aren’t new within the roleplay community so I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’m super enthralled from first glance. However, I do like how you have worded the information in your sidebar. It straightaway gives off the desired effect of ‘anything is possible’ - something that New York is all about!

PLOT PAGE AND RULES PAGE:

Since these types of roleplays have been around for a while, I think your plot is fine. However, it doesn’t add very much to what’s already in your sidebar. Therefore, it doesn’t provide me with anything new. I’d love to see you further develop the contents of your plot. I understand that a lot of what happens largely depends on your roleplayers, but I do feel like you could add a bit more of a description - what kind of drama could happen? Give me the American dream; give me the dream of someone who wants to be someone; give me the realisation that wow, New York is too expensive or that your expectations never quite align with your reality. I think that could really draw people in because it shows them what kind of possibilities lie ahead when joining/applying for this roleplay.

You have a lot of rules - I would probably say that you have too many rules. I highly recommend merging some rules together or discarding some of the more obvious ones completely. Your tone is very firm and while that’s a necessity, I feel as though it may be slightly off-putting for people who are looking to apply.

NAVIGATION PAGE:

Your navigation page is very cool. However, the font makes it seem a little out of place when it comes to your roleplay as a whole. But, I do like how it isn’t overwhelming to the eyes and it’s very easy (as well as fun!) to follow.

ROLES PAGE AND CHARACTER POSTS:

I love it! The graphics for your character posts are beautiful. It’s also nice to see a wide-range of FCs in your roleplay and on your wanted FCs list! Also, the effort you have put in when it comes to your canon characters is truly amazing to see. It’s very well-detailed and so interesting to read! FINAL WORDS:

When it comes to aesthetics, your roleplay is appealing. I also really enjoyed reading the character posts, as they all seemed very thoughtful - they bring something fresh and new to the roleplay community! However, I feel as though you would benefit by adding in more details to the plot in order to make it stand out. At the moment, it just isn’t different enough! And, I do think that the rules might need to be re-considered, as it’s quite a lot to take in.

Hi dear. I’ve never done one of these before so if this is poo, please understand. I’ll also not comment on the graphics because I’ve found I dont really look at them when joining rps/worry about them too much. But on to the opinion. A city rp concept is always really good for major character development that doesnt focus on plot based drama or life changing events to keep things going, which is always a plus for people that have characters they want to flesh out. I’ve always found that these types of rps are less stressful that some so thats a plus.

I worry with only allowing 40 characters of each “gender” that it might put a hold on you guys getting applications once that ladies fill up. I’d instead attempt to think up a way to bring in more males, poc and non binary characters. I know some rps give out special incentives but I could see why you wouldnt be keen on that as well. You could also try to make it that all future ocs must be poc or change some of the canon (but not taken) fcs to poc to try to balance things out. I also noticed your fcs seem to linger around the twenties range as far as age which promotes an environment where older fcs might not feel welcomed.

The rules are straight forward but I didnt enjoy the slang rule. As someone thats been in rp world for going on 10 years, I feel that (especially in realistic rps) things like racism/homophobia/ableism will exist but its up to us rpers to understand that muns arent their muses. An easy way to both allow these types of characters while protecting people would be to actively enforce a triggering system. I would go so far as to say make a link include a list of things that are required to be tagged. This also gives your members a chance to tell the main any triggers they have that should be tagged so that it makes your rp a safe environment.

As I’m already currently in a city based rp, I wouldnt join but it does seem fun. Hopefully this is okay dear.

Sure, I would love to! Although please remember that all of these are my opinions and sometimes I can be bit grumpy. 

Rules; the part at the end of the rules is great. Giving peoples warnings when they’ve done something wrong is always goo policy in case they were ignorant of something in the first place! Education is always the way.

Characters; perhaps keep you non binary characters as non binary face claims? Apart from the, the bios are all good and I love the little quotes at the end ! It really helps with getting to know the character a bit more.

Navigation; I got a bit taken back when I clicked on the navigation and it lead me to a different coloured and themed page. I would recommend making a normal page but inputting the links so that the sudden change doesn’t disorient people. 

Graphics; they’re very simple, but they look good ! The brightness of your header is really pretty and gives your blog a nice atmosphere.

Overall it’s a 7/10, I personally am not a fan of character based rps but it looks fun!

Of course, always nice to meet another INFJ Slytherin ;) Below the cut is my review of These Streets RPG.

Icon: 9/10, nice, sleek, pretty, I really enjoy it, it’s not too busy and simple while still giving me an idea that the RPG is gonna be something in the city.

Theme: 9/10, very nice, everything is easy to find and easy to read. I personally love it when the admins are on the side like you have them. 

Plot:  8/10, pretty basic city based RPG, so there is not a whole lot there, but this is remedied by stating that it’s a RPG centered around character development. (Disclaimer: There is nothing wrong with having a basic plot, just have to make sure that is clear)

Navigation Page: 7/10, the theme is nicely laid out, my only issues is that is not a link to your canon characters on the navigation page. You’ve got on one the main page, but I’d add one to the navigation page as well. I actually spent a few minuets stupidly searching around the page trying to find it because I missed it on the main page and it wasn’t on the navigation page. 

Characters: It’s hard for me to judge the character’s because a good handful of them are OC’s and I don’t analyze OC’s cause that’s rude. The graphics are nice though and you have a good layout for the characters, so A+

Extras: I very much enjoy your extra pages, the locations page is always super helpful, the layout of the apartment and all that. Also the links to your reviews is super cute xD I also love the choice to host an event, that’s such a good idea and I hope that people take you up on that. 

Mobile: 9/10, you’ve got a mobile navigation and it seems to have all the information needed. 

Overall: 8/10, Only thing I really have to say is to make you add a link to the characters on the navigation, but otherwise everything looks nice and I enjoy what you’ve got going. It looks like you guys have been around for a bit, so I wish you well for the future and hope you continue to grow :)

This is a full review for thesestreets-rpg.

Your theme is super organized and clean which I like very much. No complaints here!

Your plot is short and to the point which I like a lot. Not many people really appreciate long drawn-out plots. The description at the end makes it even easier for people who are lazy when it comes to that kind of stuff. I’d suggest reading it out loud so that you can see if it sounds good on the tongue. That’s how I do my essays and it really helps because when you read them out loud, you can see how other people might read them. You’ll be able to see what sounds sort of awkward and what sounds great.

Your rules are super long and I understand that because you want everyone to be aware of what’s up and how things go down but I think you should format them differently? Like, in bullet points maybe? Break it down into smaller chunks so it doesn’t feel as overwhelming.

Your graphics are clean which is really pretty so no complaints there. I’d change some of the colors of your /locate page, though because it doesn’t quite match the rest of your theme. If you’re okay with it, though, then I supposed it doesn’t really matter too much. Your character graphics don’t really match as well [the blue] and so I’d suggest a more earth tone colors.

Your navigation[etc.] page[s] is[are] really pretty and I love it. I think that you could do something similar for your wanted connections. Right now, it looks kind of messy and I don’t want to scroll down all of that to find an open connection.

I love how detailed your bios are. They’re really pretty to look at generally and I love that you have links to the bios that are connected to the one that someone might be currently reading/looking into.

Overall, there are some bits and pieces that I personally would change but would not determine whether or not I would apply and this is definitely a RP rec and going on my page. If my schedule ends up clearing up, I’ll definitely apply.
