❝ You’ve been gone so long I barely recognized you. ❞
Furiosa would make a half-baked pretzel out of Jan.
Vlad / Pip via Skype convo.
Mon amour
I can never get enough of calling you that. Mon amour. My love. Mine. I whispered it to you from the start. I proclaimed it loudly come the moment of my death.
Now? I have no need to say it. We look into each other’s eyes, smile, and know. We could tell what the other was thinking, whether we had a bad day or not. We always knew what to do if that was the case. The connection had already been there, perhaps before we even could put a name to what the other was feeling. It seems as if we had always been there for each other. We just had to turn our heads and look.
Je suis desolee. I am not very good at this.
It’s funny what war can do to you, non? It can change you, yes. Change your perspective on everything that you know, and what you know now. It puts things into a certain light. Maybe eternity is not so infinite as we thought. Time is just as cruel to immortals as it is to mortals. That being the case, why not do all that you can with the time that you have. Live without regret.
I lived by that philosophy for a long time, Seras. I aim to fulfill it this very moment. Ma cher. My sweet, feisty girl.
Will you marry me?
Fumbling frenchman. Even as her accidental fledgling, he was worse than he was before. Part of her wondered if maybe by some chance he in inherited part of her own nature. Could she, a slight flush would have met her cheeks at his words, though she didn't interrupt to insist that he stop this time. At first she was humoring his romanticism, which had a tenancy to embarrass her but not necessarily in a bad way.
And then the four words that fell from his lips stunned her momentarily into stillness and silence. She stared at him like a deer in headlights, between him and the ring he presented.
Did undead people get married? Was it legal? Would there be a priest? How did this work? Would she wear a white dress? Who would be her maid of Honor? Would Integra do it? Would they even have a ceremony? How would Mom and Dad have felt about her marrying a mercinary? Would God even recognize it....-----
Just as quickly as her mind began racing, she stopped herself. She was over thinking it entirely too much, something of a habit she had never been able to break. She took Pip's hands in hers, looking to him with a bright smile.
"Mr.Bernadotte, I ought to say we're already stuck together for an eternity," she joked, "I don't see why we can't label each other 'husband and wife' too.." A soft murmur, as she leaned up to kiss his cheek before murmuring into his ear.
"Of course I will, Pip."

[txt] I tried to phase through a wall [txt] It didn't work. [txt] AIDER MOI! [txt] S'IL VOUS PLAIT!
[txt] Is that the sound we've been hearing? Should I have Integra call off the exterminator?"
"The-Soldier-Of-fortune is hands down one of the most painstakingly and incredibly accurate portrayal of Pip Bernadotte. The mun takes so much time and puts so much love into him, it's an absolute blast to see him interact with people. The Mun makes it easy to love this character! His functioning AU is so interesting, too."
(( Pip vs Zorin showdown needs some proper music, no? ;) ))
