The sun sat high above, shining brightly in the brilliant blue sky, radiating its warm rays of light among the four young adults. They stared in awe at The Circe Cruse Line floating magnificently on top of the turquoises waves. The grandiose ship sat in the harbor, waiting for its few remaining passengers before setting out on to the open blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
It had been years since Hermione had last been on a cruise. It was fun and exciting, she remember being able to sunbath on the top deck with a book in hand with no worries about being bothered by anyone. And now she was able to once again do such a thing....though the part of not being bothered was clearly not going to happen this time around.
Ron, Ginny and Harry had concocted this little getaway for her. They had noticed that she had been over working herself ever since the fall of you-know-who. There was always something she could find that kept her preoccupied. Kept her moving forward to try and put the horrid war behind her. But in the long run her work consumed every minute of her life, taking it’s toll on her nerves, her senses and health.
Hermione had rarely slept the past few months. She stayed late into the night at the ministry finishing projects that were not due for another week or so. By doing this it had given her another reason to start another one and to lose herself once more. Perhaps this was what she needed....obviously it was if she did not need it then her friends would not have set this up for her.
When they checked in and escorted to their rooms, Hermione and the others decided to take the this time and rest before supper. When evening came, the brunette felt a little better then she had been before. It amazed her how resting for even the shortest of times could make one feel so much better than before.
Dressing in a pastel cerulean sun dress she met up with Ginny and the boys and headed to dinning room. They were talking merrily about what they could do while on board, while enjoying their meal. Laughing joyously Hermione looked at Harry, when she spotted a man a couple tables away from them that looked awfully like Professor Snape. Though that couldn’t be possible, Snape passed away that god forsaken day along with so many others.
Though when he turned his head a little more and she caught the hooked nose there was no doubt it had to be him. But she was unsure that her eyes were just playing tricks with her. Making an excuse that she needed to use the loo, Hermione rose out of her chair and headed in the direction of the man who resembled the profound potion master.
