so I am 90% sure that Harry likes old romantic literature. like he gets into romances when he realizes that horror and mysteries are two genres he'd like to steer clear of for eternity. and they're his dirty little secret for a while and then that gets out with his friends and he gets recommended like real classics and then some and he reads widely, looking at more diverse authors and all. but yeah. maybe like adventure romances? ahaha

Oh my gosh I love this!!! Perfect. I bet pining Harry would totally refer to Draco as some romance novel hero when he talks about him to Hermione. Like “Mr. Darcy” this and that. Then after they get together and Draco finds out about his reading preferences he teasingly calls Draco all sorts of different character names, because he’s a romantic sap. When he realizes Draco kind of likes it, he starts laying it on really thick, with quotes and accents and all.

Ahhh. I need a good lip liner but I've been too lazy to buy any makeup recently. I tend to order from elf cause some stuff is great. But i just discovered this rimmel mousse foundation and it's like the most pleasant thing I've put on my face in ages

Ack I’m that person who buys more makeup than they use but specifically with lip products. I always have like six lippies in my purse on any given day but the Boldly Bare liner is ALWAYS one of them. It’s the perfect natural color for me and I swear by the MAC lip pencils. ELF is wonderful! I love their lip exfoliator and the finishing powder. Good brushes too. Is the Rimmel one light-wearing? I use L’Oreal TruMatch but I don’t usually wear foundation at all.

Oooh I've only read some of these, I'll have the check the others out. Also uugggg yes music! I miss having lots of musical friends.

I strongly believe everyone should read Kokoro at least twice. It’s a unique examination of the human condition and I think the experience changes with each re-read. I’ve read it at least half a dozen times myself. And A Personal Matter explores the complexities of morality and responsibility against selfish escape. It is an intensely painful read that makes you confront ugly truths about yourself and society, but Bird is so very human through all of it that as a reader you struggle with your sympathy because he’s despicable.

And Danielewski!!! It’s ergodic so it may or may not be your jam but please do let me know if you read House of Leaves. (Any of these, really. They’re my top 3.) There’s a lot of nuance and intricacy involved in Danielewski’s storytelling, and for me (not for everyone though) it’s really entertaining. Don’t try a digital version! It absolutely will not work! Buy a copy secondhand or borrow from a library. :) It doesn’t translate well to digital formatting. I promise you, with House of Leaves you and I will not have read the same book. Happy reading!

Oh noooo! I’m pretty sure I’m terrible at these – there was a circulation where I was tagged like 5 times in a row maybe a year or two ago… But I love doing these so thank you for the tag!

1. I recently fractured my toe slipping on spilled milk at work (the babies were going through a spitting phase) and I’m all “healed” but I experience mild discomfort/pain regularly and my doc says that’s basically going to be my life from now on. The fuck??

2. Speaking of my foot, everyone already knows I have an extra bone in my foot. But!! when I fractured that second toe they found out my baby toe was actually missing a bone – so I broke even! But the fracture chipped a piece of bone clean off and it won’t fuse back so now I’m up one bone again.

3. Most of my daily conversations lately revolve around poop texture, tbh. #nannylife

4. I drink about 3 liters of water a day. (Tap – we’re in a drought!)

5. I inherited property, so I’m actually a landowner in the Philippines.

6. I know a ridiculous amount of toddler songs and dances. #nannylife
