Send me "Come and dance" for my muses reaction to yours taking their hands and pulling them onto the dance floor.
Nick knew how to dance just fine, it was just that he normally didn't without reason. Dancing was supposed to be fun, but doing it just brought back bittersweet memories of a time before. The most that a large majority of people would ever see him do was a little foot tapping, or subtle things to show he was with the beat or the tune of it all.
He'd been invited here by an acquaintance of sorts. They'd pressured him into going. It wasn't like it was going to be a big deal if he did anyway. So why not show up just to appease them? They were nice enough and deserved the satisfaction of getting him to actually go somewhere despite Nick always declining everything else. He'd been a little stir crazy anyway.
He'd stayed off to the side almost the whole time. Enjoying just watching people enjoy themselves. Dancing was interesting in that people seemed to lose all worry for at least the duration of one song. Five minutes of happiness if not more. It was interesting, and entrancing. Especially if they were good dancers.
Though he hadn't expected someone to come and pull him into the dance. He, of course, wasn't going to object. She was an attractive woman, how could Nick possibly say no to that?
"Well alright then. If you insist." And he gave her a smile.
