Hello! Let me say first how much I love your art. My roommate gave me a print of one of your inktober pieces for my bday and it's so perfect. I was wondering if you've had any formal art training or if you are self taught? Happy Friday!

I have a BFA in illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and was fortunate enough to attend a public high school with an extensive art department. I’m so glad you like the print! Thanks for the question.

If you don't mind me asking how did you stitch the word "Indiana"? It looks beautiful and my letters always seem to get worse the smaller they are. All your embroidery is lovely, by the way.

It’s two strands of embroidery thread (most embroidery thread is six strands, and you don’t want to use all six for tiny details!) and all the straight lines on the letters are single stitches, with some really bitty backstitches on the curve of the D. I went over some of the lines twice -- the I, the uprights of the N and D.
