♔ » It was all a game face from the word 'go'. Togami Byakuya had perfected the art of wearing a mask when he had none, one of the many reasons he was so fit to be the newest CEO of the famed conglomerate. He wore that mask of neutrality now as he sipped at his far-too-expensive coffee, sitting at the table he all but claimed for himself in an otherwise crowded cafeteria. He had no interruptions to distract him or companions to accompany him, flipping through a history book almost lazily as his eyes scanned text that he remembered from his grade school days. The loneliness was actually preferable - his fellow students would slow him down sooner than they would aid him, and the way they cried "friendship" didn't fool him in the slightest.
The good thing about being a Togami - let alone the newest head of the Togami family - was that no one dared question his authority when he hinted at violence or bribery...especially when it was common knowledge that Byakuya was a man of his word, that famed progeny that juggled college and business like it was nothing.
They thought he had it easy, and that was fine by him. Should they think any differently, it would spell his downfall.
He didn't look up even as he saw someone approaching out of the corner of his eye. He didn't need to look up to know who they were; a fellow Super High Schooler who made his way into college in spite of an unsightly reputation. ❝If it's help with your homework you're wanting,❞ he said lazily. ❝You've come to the wrong place. Perhaps you should have formed a study group if you're so desperate for a C.❞ As if they could get any higher than an A. The idea might have made Byakuya laugh if he wasn't in public.
