The Warehouse by Rob Hart is a #backlist book and soon to be a movie by Ron Howard. “Paxton never thought he would be working at Cloud - the giant company that swallowed most of the world’s retail companies. But really, what choice does he have. Zinnia has been hired to dig up some information on Cloud that could expose some secrets they would like to keep. Can Zinnia use Paxton? Is he just a pawn? How far will Cloud ☁️ go to keep their secrets?” This is scary, dystopian fiction from Hart. Cloud is a combination of Walmart and Amazon. Gibson Wells, the founder of Cloud, seems to be a combination of Jeff Bezos and Sam Walton. I have never met Bezos but I did meet Sam Walton a couple of times when I worked for WM many years ago. He was a lot nicer than the founder here. One of the frightening parts of this book is just how close we might be to some of this happening. We have an Amazon warehouse here and the students I’ve had that worked there often talk about the expectation of constant movement. Hart’s book has several storylines but they all come together.  GO READ ‘THE WAREHOUSE’, IT WAS SUGGESTED TO ME YESTERDAY BY SOMEONE AWESOME AND I’M GLAD I TrIED IT OUT BUT DAMMIT I ALREADY FINISHED IT RIGHT NOW TONIGHT AND aghhGVAVJDJDJG

 It makes you desceased. I’ve never felt so conflicted while reading a story and the ending got me and THOSE TWISTS AND TURNS. THEY SHARP. LIKE...I had to quit coming up with ideas of what would happen next because I was just torturing myself everytime I was wrong. GHAAAAAAA Good ending though. UwU Maybe not what some people expectedm or would call “realistic”, but a real heckin’ good story! (good art too~)

This is a "review" of a webcomic called "theWAREHOUSE" that reads like auto-generated SEO copy. But the reason that it's giving me extreme feelings of surrealism is that this review is posted on the website where theWAREHOUSE used to publish. The site went dark around 2018, and apparently someone picked it up this year. I only know about this odd review because I use an RSS reader that is loaded with a ton of shit that I used to read going back to the early 00's and this popped up in the old RSS feed for theWAREHOUSE.
