[[ OMFG! Stop acting like the victim. They told you TWICE to unfollow in the most friendly and polite manner possible and you-- being an entitled twat that you are, cried all over tumblr about it. When someone says "NO" and "leave me alone" you comply you asshole. ]]
First of all, I am no victim and I am not crying about it. I honestly do not care. In fact, you seem more upset about this than apparently how much I should be.
What I find completely ironic about your message is that you are coming to me and telling me to be polite, yet your words contradict your entire point. You’ve destroyed your credibility.
You are missing the key points here. I am not sure if you have read it, or whatever is the case, but I have not spoken to the person until they have contacted me. I have not messaged them, liked, or reblogged anything from them, and they approach me demanding that I “unfollow.”
How can you say “leave me alone” when I have had all along?
"I’ma big ol’ meanie pointin’ out them sweet, adorable asshats who make others uncomfortable."
Most importantly, when someone tells me that I make them feel uncomfortable for basically existing, then naturally I would like to know why I am making them feel that way so that I can adjust and learn.
You are basically telling me it is so obscenely wrong to ask what I did or didn’t do to have someone feel uncomfortable because of my virtual presence. It is not like I am breathing down their neck, or stalking them. When I had no prior interactions with this person that made them come to me like this, I believe I should receive some explanation.
"I dislike you." "I hate you."
Come now, that is even lower than elementary thinking, that is no explanation. A school teacher would ask “Why? Explain yourself. Maybe it’s unfounded.” Again, especially when we haven’t interacted. The reason I “follow” is because I enjoy other interpretations of the character and the work I see and wish to support them. All I would like to see is a mutual understanding.
Why is it my burden to unfollow?
Is it because the other party cannot simply hit “ignore?”, and because they cannot they go “[cry] all over tumblr about it,” as you put it. I have no obligation to anyone. You calling me “entitled” is absurd, for expecting me to comply is you being the “entitled twat.”
How about “Hey can you unfollow me”, “Ok, sorry!”
How about hit the “ignore button” in the first place. It is there for your needs. The END!
Blocking can help but whats to stop them fron liking and reblogging your stuff?
This is what the “ignore” function does.
For you, Tumblr will block any messages he tries to send you and also will block that user from showing up in lists related to post notes and activities as well as in your own Dashboard notifications. [Source]
Why does it bug you so much when you don’t even see the notifications?
I am not the one religiously checking my follower list and counting how many days someone is following me or not.
If you are going to request me to do anything, you must prepare for the possible outcomes, which certain people are not at all. If you ask me to do something, I will ask why and I would like a good explanation before I do anything.
Please, by all means, I am always open for discussion.
