Hibiscus Rain
Almost four years together,
We drank the hibiscus rain from each other's bloody palms,
Too often silk was written in our vein veils.
Until the rose of white, and you glamoured the rose in your fingertips of ice.
I believed the way you winked the frost off of your eyelashes was significant part of being two lost children.
The rain changed, it was salty and my gut was full of embers.
You held your thorned palms to my lips and had me drink the rain with a woeful smile printed on your face.
Guilt filled your scarred belly, rightfully aching the truth from your eyes.
My mind wrapped around the truth about how you had me ingest a horrid lie, so you could stroke the rose's petals without the embers in my gut alerting me of pain to come.
The embers were stronger than the way you nurtured ice into my veins,
I realized the truth and went mad due to how the snow fell on your curls and how you blinked away the snowflakes.
My head spin around and around as I hid from you.
I was drowning in snow, and I saw you and fled.
You caught me, and for the first time the woman of beauty, became the ugliest being to exist for three minutes.
She immediately tried to force the thorned water down my throat, but I was one step ahead.
I read the messages and talked to the rose.
The coldness took over her again, no more flame melting the woman I loved away.
However, the way your eyes aflame scarred into my head, tainting an image of you more so than the way you tried to pluck the rose.

I'll enjoy on confidence on a silver tray, Amusement fills my glass to top off the night.
You chuckle, thinking that I'm a chess piece in your game.
As your sub to conquer, to claim.
This board has no king, as the queen I have no desire for one to ever be placed here.
I watch how you place down your charms,
I couldn't help but laugh at how you think it would work on a lesbian like me.
You seem to think of me as your slut, to fulfill your fantasies of harming someone else.
You don't see, that what I do is work, not an invitation of your toxic masculinity behavior.
You think of me as your whore,
And your definition of whore is to only stand as your enjoyment, to be vulnerable, and to be worthless.
But, you don't see what I really am, but do I really expect much from a spec of nothingness?
I don't, and never will.
You are so slavish with your insults towards women like me.
I am enjoying my job but I am not fulfilled by the way you talk about me.
I'll keep my confidence in an upholstery above my bed as I rest tonight.

How to not be scared of death?
Is what first came upon the google search bar when I was originally searching “How to quit (Classified job name)”
My mind couldn’t shake the wonder of what they meant,
The possibilities wandered the overflowing seas of ideas.
As a human in the field of Starchildren,
how often do you talk to a person you love or recently met out of suicide?
Did her voice shake like how an acoustic vibrates in an empty promise?
Once again, I wanted to beg her to stay, she is already a fallen star,
She doesn’t need to be a fallen child as well.
I know that I am guilty of the fact my fantasies involve darkness hugging my existence.
I stay only because I can’t imagine someone I love, shouting,
“Why couldn’t she just stay for once.”
I look at her and see the fear in every story of her life.
An inflamed ring about the corpse of star birth.
The utterance of mischief thoughts will never let us be satisfied.
There is never a private grief audience when the death of a star happens.
Sometimes the light doesn’t just fade away,
Sometimes it explodes and removes others from the night star as well.
Lies
Faster breath.
I could blame it on the fact she possibly ran.
Her eyes locked on mine as she told me a short story.
I felt my trust collapse, so simple but it hurt. Second time seeing red.
I spoke up, and she was quick to tell me why,
but I'm stuck on the fact there was no excuse for it.
No harm done?
Not what my shells say.
No harm done?
She curls closer to me in her sleep.
No harm done?
Say that again to my trust boat.
That's the only thing keeping afloat.

Life
Life, I question why you have kept me alive this long.
Why haven't you let me greet death in my timely manner.
Why are you keeping me here when I have nothing to offer this world.
As always it is dying, and I can't fix a problem.
Maybe, it isn't about me staying alive for me, maybe I am someone's archer here, no that can't be it either.
To inspire, to love, to care, to voice, to lead, to learn,
And I can't do any of those correctly.
I just know that I've never felt like I ever belonged here, and I don't know why you keep me here.
I belong on the earth I created,
Where flowers and stones sing as the creatures run wild.
They run wild like how my suicidal thoughts chase away my self worth.

Don't Date A Poet
Don't date a young poet.
She will write you unwanted poems on all the ways she found you beautiful,
She will tear up as she writes a poem for you about your future.
She will daydream about how you will move on,
And then on how you will love someone else then write a poem about how she imagines how the happiness changes how you rest.
She will write how her emotions about you when she overthinks,
or when she feels too much.
Date someone else,
maybe they will be in check and they won't waste your time,
Hopefully they bring you a better gift in life than what the little poet brought you.
