I have the happiest and fattest squirrels anywhere at this time of year. They eat very, very well, apparently 😁🤣🤣😍 They monch and monch and monch!!!
I love these squirrels and so does Petey!! They even come on the deck with us to eat when we're outside because they know that we love them and they're safe with us. That makes me very happy!! 😁😍❤️
Misc, 10 for Tiso and Mothmu (or Tiso and Seer... or all 3), please
Misc, 10. “How many of these things have you eaten?”
Inside Seer's home it was warm. Away from the cloth covered section of the home, stonework laden around a stove-like structure - she stood over watching a batch of biscuits cook. The day was slow, barely any news sprung up and the tribe was experiencing a slow, easy day. Slow, but a good day, one Seer loved in her age. Peace allowed her to busy herself with small activities. Her son and son-in-law had been busy as of late - protecting the innocent and all that. She smiled thinking about what they might be doing right now - a normal safe patrol? Or a daring battle? Either way, she decided that they deserved a treat for working so hard. Already in the main room table, were a batch of cookies - the second batch she watched over carefully.
Time ticked on slowly, Seer stopping the fire and carefully taking out the tray, leaving it atop a counter to cool. Perfect, a good dozen more cookies. Satisfied, she made her way past the silken covers over the door to where the first batch lay - yet in front of her eyes was an ant and a moth, alert. Hmm. So much for the first batch, Tiso had one in his mouth, Marmu had her cheeks full. They both gave a nervous smile as the trio locked eyes. Seer quirked an eye, antennae perking upwards slightly.
"How many of these things have you eaten?" She inquired, a happy lilt in her voice. The two gave a nervous chuckle, Tiso moving his other hand to the back of his neck as Marmu fidgeted with her hands.
"Uh... sorry..." Tiso responded, glancing at the empty tray.
"Oh no no don't worry about it. Did you enjoy them?"
Marmu nodded happily, antennae rising up as she clapped her hands together. Seer smiled back, taking the tray from the table.
"Good, good. Just leave the second batch won't you dearies? It's for Mar-Mar and Xero." The two nodded in response, "If you want, you could help me make a third batch that we could save for dinner tonight."
"Oh! Happily grandmother!"
"Yeah sure I'm in."
Seer reached up to pat Marmu's head, before then giving Tiso's cheek a pinch as he made a little embarrassed noise. Perhaps she'd have to find a new hiding place in the future for her baking projects.
