A concept: Jim and Uhura getting into a half serious competition(bc they're basically siblings)to prove they each have the cutest boyfriend by trying to be cute with them/get Spock and Bones to do cute things. Neither can say what's going on to the bfs. Spock is confused, but goes along with whatever Uhura wants. Bones is POSITIVE Jim is Up To Something and REFUSES to cooperate at every turn. Chapel is the only one In The Know(bc she Knows All)and finds the whole thing endlessly hilarious.

“Chris, I’m telling you, he’s up to something.” Len ran twitchy fingers through his hair, messing up the birds nest even more.

“Sure you’re not getting paranoid Len?” She smirked, watching him watching Jim bounce out of med bay, waving to some ensigns as he passed.

Len humphed, grumbling over the bio-bed they were adjusting and drinking his coffee with a frown. Chris new him well enough to spot the soft smile behind the ‘galaxies best boyfriend’ mug. 

She didn’t really care who won, this little bet was going to give her enough blackmail material to last for the next millennia.
